While looking through C&L’s gallery, I had the realization that their day (& most wedding days to be honest) had 9 different lighting conditions. Some in my control, some not. In pictured order:

One of my favorite things about my job is getting to read light and knowing what tools to use to enhance a couple’s gallery. For the last 13 years, I’ve always strived to be able to pair the first image of the day & the last and have it be cohesive.

Chicago, you’re ALWAYS so good to me. What an incredible day it was! Kicked it off with a walk thru of Caroline & Jeff’s reception space () & then we went to the lakefront to soak up golden hour with some portraits ☀️ 🌆 What a wonderful celebration it’ll be! ⭐️

That fourth photo?! Nothing compares to the joy that M&F had in that moment—walking out of their ceremony as newlyweds, surrounded by the people that mean the most to them. The love and excitement on their faces truly says it all. This is what their day was all about!

A black & white color palette will truly never go out of style. K&K’s day at was stunning from start to finish!
