This is certainly out of the realm of my normal posts - BUT - I just had to share it! Last week when we were having a little picnic in Estes Park, the bees kept stealing our shrimp…literally, digging in and flying away with significant chunks of shrimp! I did a slow motion video of one and have watched it 100x…it’s so fascinating! Hope you enjoy it too!

Delivery and install days are always special, but this one was a little extra personal!

Today, I had the pleasure of delivering and installing this gorgeous acrylic wall art for Shanna, along with updated portraits of her kids from their Simply Me session.

And because those two amazing kids also happen to be my niece and nephew, seeing their faces turned into beautiful artwork that Shanna gets to enjoy in her home made this delivery even sweeter.

This is why I love creating more than digital images. There is something so meaningful about seeing the people you love displayed as artwork in your home, where you can enjoy them every single day.

Every once in a while, I trade people for mountains.

This was my favorite image I captured while we were in Estes Park last weekend. The light hitting those mountains, the stormy sky, that crazy old tree framing it all…I knew the second I took it that it was going to be a favorite.

And I’m pretty sure this one is destined to become a magnificent piece of wall art in our own home.

Portrait photography will always have my heart, but every once in a while, I do love a good landscape. And Colorado certainly knows how to show off.

It’s been a while since I did a Restaurant Spotlight! 🍽️🍷

I was recently back at Rare Steakhouse in downtown Madison for a branding shoot, and once again, it was such a fun one to photograph.

From a smoked Old Fashioned, to gorgeous ribeye, and table side Bananas Foster. Rare is all about the experience as much as the meal.

Huge thanks to Owen, their GM, for being so wonderful to work with.
