In the 3 years and 10 months Friday’s Fotography was in business, I had the privilege to capture memories in 194 sessions (84 of these being newborn).

I didn’t even realize I was close to hitting 200 sessions done for such amazing families. The laughs and smiles during these times brought so much joy. 🤗

It was an honor to create these unique experiences for these families as we recorded treasured memories to last a lifetime. ✨

This is my fourth “sharing of my website” post. Today I am sharing my Blog page.
My web designer advised that blogging on my website would help with my SEO. I am most proud reading my very first blog titled “Starting a New Business Later in Life” and remembering my anxiety before starting this business myself….. creating it at my age, learning everything I needed to know, and realizing I DID IT ‼️

Before I shut down my business and cancel subscriptions, I wanted to find a way to save all the work put into my website, so I can look at it whenever I want.

Reflecting on the close of my business, I am proud that I was able to do everything on my own: invoices, contracts, payments, deposits, scheduling, staging, organizing, cleaning, photographing, editing, building rapport with my clients for repeat customers, and posting to my social media for engagement.

I am also grateful that I had places to reach out for help when I needed it. At the start of the business, going to a mentor was a game-changer for knowledge in proper posing techniques and safety for the babies I would be working with in the business. My mentor also gave me tips on what I would need to have in my studio and was a resource whenever I needed additional follow up.

I received the most help with my website. For my website, I spent months writing out what I wanted to say and how I wanted to present myself to potential clients looking for a newborn photographer. Megan at Modern World Consulting took those ideas and organized it all into a cohesive website for me which came out even better than I could have imagined. She had the experience and knowledge to advise me on how things would work best, and I am so grateful. Before my business completely shuts down, I wanted to make sure I didn’t lose all that we had created without posting it as a way to look back on it whenever I am in the mood to reflect on such a sweet time in my life. ✨

Going over expectations before each session kept me from having conflicts while in business. This was important to me as I aimed for all of my clients to have the best experience possible with Friday’s Fotography. ✨
