A Surprise Guest at the Monastery 🐻
At the suggestion of , I took a quick 15-minute drive from my house to explore the beautiful grounds of the Chuang Yen Monastery.
Just five minutes into my walk up the path, I found myself face-to-face with a black bear.
My mind raced trying to recall the official wildlife safety protocol: Do I make noise, or do I play dead?
Naturally, I chose option C: Snap a quick picture while slowly backing away.
Luckily, they gave me a casual glance and wandered off into the woods, leaving me to continue my exploration in peace.

Had the pleasure of meeting this incredible young woman—an armored combatant—out in Bryant Park representing The Armored League. Think UFC meets King Arthur ⚔️🔥

Definitely adding this to my must-see list.

Just some random shots from the last few days 📸

I’ve been switching between cameras, taking my time and seeing what really feels right for street photography. These were shot on the Nikon D700 and the Nikon Zf, both with vintage glass — nothing fancy, just enjoying the process and letting the moments happen.

No rush, no rules… just shooting.

Sunday Funday with my little one and the legendary Nikon D700 paired with the Nikon 60mm f/2.8 📸

It still blows my mind what this 18-year-old, 12-megapixel beast can do. Classic full-frame colors, beautiful tones, and that timeless Nikon look — proof that great photography isn’t about chasing the newest gear, it’s about capturing real moments.

For anyone curious: the D700 body can be found for around $180–$400 depending on shutter count and condition, and the 60mm f/2.8 Micro adds another $200–$275 on average.

Old camera… priceless memories. 💛

Yesterday’s lens choice was the Minolta Rokkor-X, 500mm f/2 adapted to the Nikon ZF. I love the look that vintage lenses produce.
