There’s a moment I wait for on every wedding day—the moment two people stop feeling like a bride and groom in front of my camera, and simply fall back into being them. 🤍
For Avery + Kyle, it happened as the sun began to sink lower over Wailea.

The rush of the ceremony had passed. The petals had fallen. The hugs had been given, the family photos taken, and the bright Maui afternoon was slowly melting into that soft, golden light I love so much.
And through my camera, I watched everything between them soften too.
The way Kyle pulled Avery closer.
The quiet touches.
Those tiny, fleeting seconds that tell me so much more about a couple than any perfectly posed portrait ever could.

This is why Maui sunset wedding portraits will forever have my heart.
Of course I love the golden light and the colors beginning to stretch across the sky—but what I really love is what happens between my couples when the day finally slows down enough for them to realize:
We did it. We’re married. This is the beginning.

So I let Avery + Kyle wander.
I let them hold each other.
I let the Maui light wrap around them while I quietly documented what was unfolding in front of me.

Because someday, I want them to look at these photographs and remember more than how beautiful the sunset was.
I want them to remember how it felt to stand beside the person they had just promised forever to, with an entire lifetime still waiting beyond that horizon. 🌅🤍

And that is the kind of photograph I’ll chase every single time.

I dare you to look through this Maui wedding gallery without smiling. Seriously. I couldn’t do it. 😂🤍

There are joyful ceremonies… and then there are ceremonies where the happiness practically BURSTS out of every single photograph.

The cheering. The laughter. The arms thrown into the air. The expressions on their family’s faces. The wedding party absolutely LOSING IT as these two officially became husband and wife. ✨

Pure. EXUBERANCE.

I swear, I smiled ear to ear the entire time I edited this gallery because you can feel how loved Chandra + Zach are.

And then came that first kiss…
Surrounded by the most STUNNING tropical florals from Kahului Florist. 🌺🌴✨
The lush colors framing them, their family and wedding party erupting in celebration behind them, and Chandra + Zach right in the middle of it all—MARRIED.

THIS is what I love about photographing Maui weddings.
Yes, I adore the quiet tears and intimate vows.
But give me the families who CHEER.
Give me the wedding parties who completely lose their minds.
Give me the kind of joy that refuses to stay quiet. 🤍

Because years from now, I don’t just want Chandra + Zach to remember what their Maui wedding ceremony looked like.
I want them to look at these photographs and remember exactly how it felt to have everyone they loved celebrating right alongside them.
And judging by these faces?
I’d say they felt pretty loved. 🥹🌺🤍

Proof that some of my favorite Maui wedding photos happen when we throw the original plan completely out the window. 🌺🤍

After Avery + Kyle’s beautiful Wailea beach wedding ceremony, Maui was giving us one seriously hot afternoon. ☀️
We needed shade, we needed a little breather… and instead of forcing another round of beach portraits, we went exploring.

That’s when we walked past this gorgeous beach house.
The architecture, the greenery, the shade—it gave their Maui wedding portraits an entirely different feel from the ceremony we had just photographed steps away. So we borrowed the entrance for just a few minutes.
And I LOVED it.

As a Maui wedding photographer, this is why I’m always looking beyond the obvious backdrop. Maui beaches are incredible, but sometimes turning around, wandering down the road, or chasing an unexpected pocket of light gives us something completely different for your gallery.
And apparently, one local resident agreed.

Enter: the rooster. 🐓😂
Because what’s a Maui wedding portrait session without an uninvited feathered guest casually wandering into the story?
Avery + Kyle rolled with every second of it—which is exactly what made these portraits feel so them.

A little elegant.
A little spontaneous.
A whole lot of Maui.
And one rooster who clearly understood his assignment. 🐓✨

IMPORTANT QUESTION: Does the rooster officially count as part of the wedding party? 😂 Drop a 🐓 below to give our surprise guest the recognition he deserves.

There are few things more beautiful than getting to photograph a love story more than once. 🤍✨

The first time I photographed Elda + Andrew, they were standing in front of my camera as newlyweds—surrounded by the people they loved, celebrating the beginning of their next chapter.
And now?
They’re back in front of my camera with a little girl on the way. 🥹🌺

From Maui wedding photography to their Maui maternity session, getting to watch their story continue has been such a gift.

There’s something so emotional about seeing the same two people years—or even chapters—later.
The love is still there.
But now there’s a new little heartbeat joining the story.
And I absolutely love that these photographs will someday let their daughter see the love that was already waiting for her before they ever held her in their arms. 🤍

Elda + Andrew told me they’ll be back again once their bundle of joy arrives for family photos in Maui.
And you already know I’m counting down! 🥹

Because this is the part of being a photographer that never gets old—not just documenting a wedding day, but getting invited back to photograph everything that comes after.

From “I do” to maternity photos to first family session… I want to photograph your WHOLE story. 🌺🤍

There’s something so special about being surrounded by the women who have known you your whole life… especially when they’re the ones helping you get ready to walk into your next chapter. 🤍
Chandra had her sisters + mom right there, glamming her up, fixing the little details, laughing, hyping her up, and soaking in those last few moments before she became a bride.

But then Dad saw her.
And THAT expression. 🥹
The kind of look that says “That’s my girl.”
The kind that holds a lifetime of memories in one little moment.

As a Maui wedding photographer, these are the getting-ready photographs I treasure most. Not just the makeup, the dress, or the beautiful details—but the people behind the bride.
The women who helped shape her.
The family who watched her grow.
And the dad who will probably always see his little girl, no matter how stunning she looks in her wedding dress. 🩷

Ladies, who would be in your “Glam with the Fam” crew? 💄🎀 Tag your girlies below! 👇🏼💕And save this as your reminder to book getting-ready photos into your package!

For one beautiful moment, it felt like the whole island of Maui was celebrating with them. 🌺🤍
Avery + Kyle’s Wailea beach wedding ceremony was surrounded by the people they love—and framed by the most vibrant tropical florals.

Their close friend stood beside them to officiate, making their Maui wedding ceremony feel intimate, personal, and completely their own.
And then came that moment.
The vows were spoken.
The anticipation built.
They leaned in for their first kiss as newlyweds…
…and their friends and family sent a burst of colorful petals soaring into the air around them. 🌺✨

I watched through my camera as the flowers seemed to suspend in the afternoon light, Avery + Kyle wrapped up in each other while everyone they loved celebrated just behind them.

As a Maui wedding photographer, these are the photographs I live for—the fleeting seconds that can never be recreated, but can be held onto forever.
One kiss.
A thousand petals.
And the beginning of everything that comes next. 🤍🌺

Would you want your first kiss to be surrounded by a shower of tropical flowers? 🌺 Drop a 💕 if this is your dream ceremony moment!

No big wedding production. No packed guest list. Just two best friends, two friends beside them, and a Maui sunset waiting in the wings. 🤍🌅

Kari + Chris might win the award for simplest and most fun Maui elopement ever.
Their Wailea beach wedding ceremony was just the two of them and their closest friends—and I had the absolute honor of being both their Maui wedding photographer AND officiant. 🌺
I led their ceremony, then stepped back during their personal vows so I could quietly capture the moment unfolding between them.

Kari had one very specific request for their Maui elopement: she wanted to say “I do” during sunset.
So we waited.
The light softened.
The sky began to glow.
And they exchanged their vows exactly when they wanted to.

Simple. Playful. Completely them.
This is your reminder that your Maui elopement doesn’t have to be complicated to be unforgettable. 🤍

Would you choose a tiny sunset ceremony with your favorite people or a big traditional wedding? Drop 🌅 for the intimate elopement or 💍 for the big celebration!
