Turns out “Go touch grass” isn’t the goal right now... getting back to his computer for a little while is! 😄 I’ll take that win all day long.
Still a reeeeaaally long way to go, but healing is happening, body and spirit. We couldn’t be more grateful for every prayer, kind message, and good vibe family and friends have sent our way. 🤍

The truth about the 4th.
Today was spent at the hospital, just like the six days before it. The hardest week of my life. There are moments that change you forever, and as a parent, there are no words for the fear, helplessness, and heartbreak of watching your child face something so overwhelming.
Last Sunday, my son was in a motorcycle accident. Thankfully, he survived, though at the cost of many broken bones and what is going to be a long road to recovery.
Still, my heart is overflowing with gratitude. He is still here. His life was spared, and thanks to modern medicine, he’s now held together by rods, plates, and screws—like a giant broken doll waiting to be carefully put back together.
It is a strange thing how heartbreak, exhaustion, fear, hope, and overwhelming gratitude can all exist at the same time. Strange thing indeed. 🤍✨

l’ve been a little absent lately. Life-and politics - have been taking up a lot of space in my mind. (fair warning, this maybe a longer post 📜)
Today I was looking through old photos and thinking about how choosing motherhood has been the most meaningful decision of my life. Because that’s exactly what it was: a choice. The road to becoming a mother wasn’t easy. In the end, I was incredibly fortunate to welcome twins—a boy and a girl. When | look at my daughter, I think about the future I want for her. I want her to have the same rights and freedoms I was given, not fewer. To love whom she loves (well, that’s really for the both of them). To have a child, or not.

So here l am now, l have this platform, and I feel a responsibility to use it. We can’t afford to be silent. We have to keep speaking up, showing up, and standing up for the right to choose. For ourselves. For our daughters. For the generations that come next.

As a mom of a daughter, I’m grateful California has gone “too far” to protect women’s healthcare, privacy, and reproductive freedom.
This one is personal.
