Some of the best light I’ve ever seen! These guys were excited to get up at 3am for a 5am start to their wedding.

We enjoyed the alpine glow on the sierra.
These two were some of the smile-iest, laughter forward couples I’ve met.

They decided to do a half day adventure with me where they said their vows, with 2 friends present.

Their families were headed into town that day and they were planning to spend the weekend with their family.

This Convict Lake sunrise elopement from early summer still has me in awe of that insane alpenglow on Laurel Mountain. Sometimes a 4am wake-up is completely worth it. 😋

I’ve got space for a couple more small hiking elopements this fall, and I’m now actively booking for 2027.

Relle and River somehow convinced their whole family to hike two miles to an alpine lake before sunrise for their wedding.

Two miles might not sound like much, but this trail is steep. There was ice. It was cold. It was definitely an adventure for the whole crew.

But they made it up in time to catch alpenglow on the peaks during the ceremony, which made the early alarm very worth it.

When my friends asked me if I would photograph their backpacking elopement, I could not have been more excited.

This kind of thing wouldn’t be for everyone, but for them it was perfect.

They hiked 7 miles into the backcountry in late October, to an alpine lake at 11,000 feet. Saying their vows as the sun dipped behind the mountains, followed by homemade noodles cooked by a friend, and a dance party under the stars — a 10/10 weekend!

Yes, it was very cold and also very worth it.

Fall in the Eastern Sierra is the absolute best time and these two were so much fun to photograph. They were naturally affectionate and completely comfortable with each other, so I basically just got to follow them around in some beautiful glowing aspens and let them be themselves.

These two got married at the courthouse, wandered around the mountains with me for photos afterward, and ended the day with dinner at a little French restaurant in Independence. It was such a simple, yet perfect day.

Hi, I’m Mandy, the artist behind the camera.

I’m equal parts adventure-seeker and homebody. I spend my free time bouldering or cuddling with my cat Willow, and I’ve spent pretty much my whole life making art.

Before wedding photography, I spent 15 years making fine art sculpture and photographs, and I think that’s still a huge part of how I see and photograph a wedding day.

I love big landscapes, interesting light, and cinematic images, but I also really care about making the experience feel fun and easy.

I’ll scout locations, help you think through logistics, offer recommendations, and generally go above and beyond to make sure you can actually enjoy the day we’re planning.

Basically: I want you to have a really good wedding day AND really good photos of it.
