Early morning stroll around Split

While staying in Old Town, I went out one morning before sunrise and walked around. This man walking through the southern entrance caught my eye. When going through and editing images, black and white just worked with this scene.

Saint Domnius Bell Tower

📍Split, Croatia

Walking around Diocletian's palace, the bell tower stands out above everything else. Built in 305, this tower is the first this that catches your eye from the ground and from the water when you sail in. When standing at the entrance to Jupiter's Temple, the tower is framed by the newer (15th Century) Venetian style buildings.

Empty Columns

📍Rector's Palace Dubrovnik, Croatia

Dubrovnik is full of beautiful architecture and sites. The entrance to Rector's Palace in old town greets you with these ornate columns. The designs along the tops and the detail are amazing to see.

The walls around old town are truley breathtaking. On first site, it's obvious why this town is known as the Pearl of the Adriatic.

📍Dumbarton Oaks

I guess even trees have to learn!
These desk are found in multiple locations on the property. With the beaches coming out of the chair and desk, they give a fairy tale feeling to the grounds.

📍Dumbarton Oaks

The wisteria was in full bloom last weekend at Dumbarton Oaks. I captured this vine wrapping on top of one of the walkway walls around the house.

🌸Cherry Blossom Sunrise 🌅

Usually with a sunrise, I have to deal with a handful of photographers and maybe post process one or two out. Not this time! The walkway around the tidal basin was packed Sunday morning with photographers and tourist alike. Blue bird skies and full bloomed trees brought everyone out.
