MY definition of photography: Showing the beauty everyone has in them. Photography to me is SO much more than than taking pictures, or walking around taking
snapshots with a hi-tech fancy camera. Photography to me is capturing a moment in time, whether it be a building standing tall right before demolition, a flower soaking up the rays, or a new born babies first yawn.... its never letting go of that memory...
About the photographer: My name is Felicia I am 30 years old and have grown up in the small town of Elk Rapids, in Northern Lower Michigan, my entire life. I have has always had a great love for nature, animals,and people. I am the youngest of two girls, and have an AMAZING and supportive Family! How, When, and where it started...
I have always been very active in church and local volunteer organizations, the summer of my seventh grade year, I was lucky enough to visit Presbytery Point in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Like every other child, my parents made sure to pack a disposable camera for capturing memories. I found myself growing closer to God, and closer to my passions for nature and taking in the natural beauty that we are surrounded by every day. When I came home and the pictures were developed my parents and family were very surprised to see mostly pictures of Lake Michigan, sunsets, sunrises, and other nature shots. A few months later I and my Family took a family vacation to Walt Disney World, where I spotted a "Disney digital" a small, pink digital camera. I fell in love and BEGGED for it. Mom said No. when vacation was over it was Christmas morning, I will NEVER forget the excitement I had when I opened my very first Digital Camera!!!!!! Needless to say, this is where my love for photography really took off. After Graduating high school, I had the opportunity to apply at a local Portrait Studio. It was there I learned about the "human side" of photography. I learned SO much in the two years I was employed at "Picture Me!"
Since my employment at Picture Me, I have had the opportunity to meet, talk and compare with many professional photographers. I know I am only an amateur, But I am hoping to someday, turn my dream into a reality....
I would love nothing more than the opportunity to share my work with the world!!!! I am still learning everyday, and strive each day to become better! Due to the ever growing number of photographers, I have chosen NOT to list my prices on my page here.
