Choosing the right concept for a photoshoot is just as important as choosing the outfit.
Sometimes clients come to me wanting outdoor photos in a park because it sounds romantic in their imagination. But depending on the lighting, weather, season, and overall mood they want, I may actually recommend a studio session instead. Soft controlled light can sometimes create a much more timeless and emotional result than harsh sunlight outside.
And sometimes it happens the other way around.
A client may originally want a studio session, but I can already see that their personality, styling, or vision would come alive much better outdoors with movement, city textures, sunset light, cars, wind, or nature.
That’s why I always try to guide my clients not only with outfits, but with the entire feeling of the session.
The best photos usually happen when the location, styling, lighting, and personality all work together instead of fighting each other.
Photography is not just about taking pictures. It’s about creating the right atmosphere for a specific person.
