With all the recent conversations around AI and online privacy, especially regarding our kids, I’ve been reflecting a lot on what this means for both my business and the families I serve. I know many parents are feeling anxious not just about how photos are shared, but about how online data and images are harvested in today's digital landscape.
As a photographer, sharing my work is how I showcase my art, connect with new families, and build the trust that allows me to keep doing what I love. When you allow me to share your gallery on my website or social media, I am always so grateful.
At the same time, your family's privacy and comfort will always be my highest priority. I take realistic, thoughtful steps to protect your images online:
Private Gallery Delivery: Full-resolution galleries are always delivered through secure, password-protected systems, keeping your high-res files off public search engines entirely.
Invisible "Glaze" Protection: Before sharing any image publicly on my website or social media, I now process files through a specialized protection tool called Glaze (developed by researchers at the University of Chicago). It adds invisible, mathematical "cloaks" to the image pixels that confuse AI scrapers and prevent models from learning, copying, or harvesting your child’s likeness and visual data—all while keeping the photo looking completely clear and beautiful to the human eye.
100% Client Choice: I have always obtained explicit permission before posting any client images publicly, and I will always respect your boundaries—no questions asked and no pressure, ever. Saying no to social media sharing will never change the care, passion, and artistic detail I put into your session.
Technology moves fast, but my commitment to respecting your family in real, grounded ways remains the same. Thank you to all of my amazing clients who trust me with your memories both behind the camera and online!
