From 2009 - 2026 my how things have changed.
My dad took the photo you see on the top. I got my love of photography from him.
Having a camera in my hand always felt, well, right.
My dad chased every dream he ever had. One of those was photography. He mostly focused on outdoor photography, ESPN Outdoors was a freelance thing he did for awhile. Touring with The Bass Master Elites and article writing for their website and magazine.
As most of you know, lifestyle, newborns, weddings, all things life and love are my wheelhouse.
I also photograph events! First birthdays, baby showers, anniversary parties, all of it!
Capturing moments in general is where my heart is!
I so wish my dad was here to see how far I’ve come.
To see the sign lit up on Highway 18 with my name on it.
The babies and families walking into the doors of my studio.
The weddings I cry at (every time) the father daughter dance happens.
My dad and I didn’t see eye to eye on a lot, but photography was “our thing” & now it’s just “my thing.”
But it was today that it hit me when my girls tagged along for a wedding that they too love it. Rosie Jane wanted to help. So I guess now it’s not just a me thing, they are watching and learning just like I did. 😭🥹
I’m so grateful my mom, husband, sister, and kids get to watch my little hobby turn into something so much bigger than that.
It’s hard, the nights are long, the comparison is crippling, but I want to grow this “small business” into full time for me. Not just for me, but to show my girls, NEVER give up on your dreams!
If you’ve made it this far, thank you!
If you recommend me to someone, thank you!
If you can’t book with me now, THAT IS OKAY! Just interacting with my post and sharing my work helps get my name out there.
I love you guys, truly. 😭🥹
& again, THANK YOU!
