I just realized that I have never shown my face here. It is easy to hide behind the camera, when you are the one taking pictures all the time. Hi there, I am glad you are here, and let me introduce myself. My name is Elena, I photograph newborn babies and here are a few fun facts about me:

💜 I am originally from Russia, having lived in Canada and Mexico prior to settling in Seattle, Washington;
💜 Yes, in addition to Russian and English, I can speak some Spanish, dare me to try. Mind you, my Spanish gets better after a glass of wine (or two);
💜 I don't like taking pictures of myself; but I make exceptions during the blooming seasons;
💜 I take pictures of newborn babies, because the newborn babies do not run away on me, like my own two crazy children;
💜 I have two rambunctious boys and two highly energetic bpston terriers. Obviously I didn't know what I was getting into.

There is this extra element of fun shooting newborn girls. Don't get me wrong, I love boys too (I have two of them myself), but I just enjoy the fact that you can always try bonnets and headbands in the same setup. I think this lovely young lady rocked both. 💜
