Pencil drawing is the most basic and purest form of art for me. When I draw, my pencil is not just a tool, but an extension of my finger(s), and it becomes this magic wand opening up a whole new universe and allowing me to completely connect with my artwork. I usually draw from digitally-enhanced photographs, not from live models, and this gives me the possibility to achieve realistic and highly d

etailed drawings. Having been fascinated by black and white photography from an early age, I prefer to use black graphite and charcoal for my drawings, but occasionally I also draw with colored pencils. My style is heavily influenced by my love of the human figure and by my own emotions. This way, my drawing style ranges from hyper-realistic to surrealistic, depending on how I might feel at a given moment.
