I credit at least half of my growth to you as I’ve learned so much from you. You’ve grown to inspire me to be better and thinking back from where I once came… I’m impressed 😆. Going to was a “work” trip for me. However I got to experience the culture (the kindest and most inviting people on earth). The people taught me so much, each and every one that I met, they had such a joy and vibe to them. They were so present, whether working, or having a good time with their family and friends (or both). It allowed me to do some soul searching and adjust some things within myself and bring back to the states what I’ve learned and apply it to my way of life. The food 🤤. I ate at a few restaurants just to say I did. But the local “street food” is where it’s at. I ate things that took me 3 tries to pronounce, but it took one bite to know I was gonna get 2nd. Oh I couldn’t have enough of those delicious Papusas. They were breakfast, snack, lunch and dinner for me 🤤

Aaand just like that we’re on to another year. Crazy right?! 2024 has blessed me with perspective and a deep understanding of self. I will spare you the details, but for one.. Releasing the idea of controlling external outcomes with my will and focusing that energy to my inner happiness and my fulfillment. There is an obscene level of idgaf’ness that comes over you when things don’t seem right… from your perspective at least.. Not dismissing most situations, however standing in the knowing that I’m in control of 100% me. I was able to make time for hobbies I’ve put off for years, accept new challenges and expand my experience both professionally and non. I took impromptu self holidays and had an obscene amount of date days with my lady. And finally the funny, crazy, intense, laugh til you wanna p*e memories I’ve made with my loved ones. 2024 owes me nothing, I am full.

Art imitates the artist. Draw closer to the things that inspire you, the things that make you tick, the things that take you to a place of unlimited outcomes when you play in your imagination. If the artists imagination is restricted only to the size of its canvas, look for the biggest f**king canvas out there and go HAM. Lucky for us we live, love, and breathe on one pretty awesome canvas everyday. The earth is so diverse and beautiful that each mile you walk is a new opportunity for inspiration. And as the artist of your life. All you need is the willingness to explore, indulge, maybe take some risks that can expand the imagination of yourself and your surrounding, consequently expanding your story and creating a life of fulfillment.

(Just a quick, yet random thought) Because life happens, not all the time do I get to keep in touch with past clients. But every now and then I’ll have random memories of my past work with them. This one in particular, I remember this couple just eager and googley eyed to start life together, they were so in love. As I buttered my toast they randomly came to mind and I asked myself “I wonder how they’re doing?”.

The times we live in now are different from the times of our parents and grandparents. Love was sacred and something you longed for and fought to keep. Sadly, those values are not as mainstream as in the past. However, as I pour my strawberry lemonade into my glass, to those who are reading this and to this lovely couple. May you experience a love that exceeds your expectations. May you experience someone that makes you smile at the sp*ed of thought. May you hold peace, overcome and gain wisdom in hard times and may you see that you deserve love and the value within you have when you share it with someone else. Cheers, I’ll drink to that.
