First let me wish all the dads, coaches, father figures, essentially anyone that shows up and plays that role, a Happy Father's Day! It really takes a village at times.
I contemplated posting this here, or on my personal page. I'm choosing here because so much of this ties into my photography and why I'm still around and not chasing money elsewhere. I'd be lying if I said it didn't make me tear up a little. I'd love nothing more than to be a dad, but unfortunately, I haven't been dealt those cards. This message today, from a mom here that's taken the time to get to know me, most definitely touched my heart a bit ♥️. It's these messages that mean more than someone can even put into words.
"Happy Father’s Day to a man who may not have children of his own, but has been a father figure to so many. You’ve spent years showing up, cheering kids on, encouraging them to be better, believing in them when they didn’t believe in themselves, and loving them unconditionally even more than you may like to admit. 😂 Whether it’s taking them to games, spending time with them, giving advice, or simply being someone they can count on, you’ve made a difference in more lives than you’ll probably ever realize. And as a photographer, you’ve done something even more special. While everyone else is watching the game, you’re capturing the moments that families will cherish forever. The smiles, the victories, the hard work, the memories because of you, those moments will never be forgotten. The world needs more men like you. Men who show up. Men who care. Men who love without expecting anything in return. Thank you for being a role model, a supporter, a mentor, and a friend to so many kids over the years. Your impact is bigger than you know. Happy Father’s Day. You are appreciated, loved, and admired more than words can say."
