First let me wish all the dads, coaches, father figures, essentially anyone that shows up and plays that role, a Happy Father's Day! It really takes a village at times.

I contemplated posting this here, or on my personal page. I'm choosing here because so much of this ties into my photography and why I'm still around and not chasing money elsewhere. I'd be lying if I said it didn't make me tear up a little. I'd love nothing more than to be a dad, but unfortunately, I haven't been dealt those cards. This message today, from a mom here that's taken the time to get to know me, most definitely touched my heart a bit ♥️. It's these messages that mean more than someone can even put into words.

"Happy Father’s Day to a man who may not have children of his own, but has been a father figure to so many. You’ve spent years showing up, cheering kids on, encouraging them to be better, believing in them when they didn’t believe in themselves, and loving them unconditionally even more than you may like to admit. 😂 Whether it’s taking them to games, spending time with them, giving advice, or simply being someone they can count on, you’ve made a difference in more lives than you’ll probably ever realize. And as a photographer, you’ve done something even more special. While everyone else is watching the game, you’re capturing the moments that families will cherish forever. The smiles, the victories, the hard work, the memories because of you, those moments will never be forgotten. The world needs more men like you. Men who show up. Men who care. Men who love without expecting anything in return. Thank you for being a role model, a supporter, a mentor, and a friend to so many kids over the years. Your impact is bigger than you know. Happy Father’s Day. You are appreciated, loved, and admired more than words can say."

Aviators Soar Back from the Brink!

In a heart-pounding Week 9 clash on May 23 at Historic Crew Stadium, the Columbus Aviators unleashed a furious late-game comeback to stun the Birmingham Stallions 36-29!

Birmingham looked in control for much of the day, building a late 29-21 lead behind solid running and timely throws from Dorian Thompson-Robinson. But the Aviators refused to quit.

Enter Jalen Morton in his first start — pure magic. The dual-threat QB torched the Stallions with his arm and legs, engineering a game-tying drive from their own 9-yard line. He capped it with a heroic rushing TD, followed by a jaw-dropping two-point conversion catch by Keke Chism to knot it at 29-29 with under four minutes left.

Then came the dagger. On Birmingham’s next possession, cornerback D.J. Miller Jr. jumped a route and raced 36 yards for a game-sealing pick-six, sending the home crowd into absolute frenzy!

Columbus improved to 3-6 and kept their playoff dreams breathing, while the Stallions dropped to 4-5 in a brutal collapse. What a thriller — Morton’s performance and that defensive strike turned a likely loss into one of the most exciting wins of the UFL season! 🏈🔥

Emotional post!!! 😢
When I found out my mom was pregnant with my sister, I thought it was crazy because of how far they were into life. I distinctly remember saying my father wouldn't be around to see her graduate high school due to how much older he was. I'm glad I was wrong. Last night my little sister became the second personal in our family to graduate college (after myself). I chose not to walk across the stage when I did, because I diminished the fact that it was an Associate Degree (self esteem issues I've always struggled with). Sitting inside The Marion Palace last night for her ceremony, I then realized I was wrong again and realized I missed out. Everyone, from all walks of life and all ages, rather it was a recent high school grad who went straight to college, military vets, those in their 40s, or some much older, were all there being recognized for their achievement and to walk across the stage. But what hit me the deepest was the fact that despite my father's health and being 80 years old, he was not only able to stick it out and see my sister graduate high school, but college also, along side our grandmother, our mom, and siblings. That moment in itself meant the world. I am so very proud of her navigating life through her racing, her job, and college to get to this point and obtain her Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology. The world is a big place and I wish you nothing but the best and Im so grateful we were all able to sit there last night and see it all come together. Love ya sis 💙.

With all of that said, I had to come out of sport mode to do some cap and gown photos for her!

UFL matchup between the Houston Gamblers and Columbus Aviators ended in a 24–17 win for Columbus, fueled by a dominant first half and timely defensive stops late.
Columbus surged early, putting up 21 first-half points and forcing Houston to play from behind the rest of the night. The Gamblers stayed competitive, but injuries at quarterback and stalled drives kept them from completing the comeback.
A strong defensive stand from Columbus, kept the ball in the offenses possession to control the game where they ran 67 plays to Houstons 37. Columbus combined efficient quarterback play from McClendon with a fast start, while Houston’s injuries and inconsistency under center proved too much to overcome in a 24–17 result.
