Here is an image of today's sun. We have an earth facing sun spot as large as the sun spot from the Carrington Event of 1859! I could see it with just eclipse glasses. No magnification needed. This is massive. Eyes in the skies tonight! Much of the USA should see a show. This could be the biggest show of our lives so far.

Hope the quality is ok.. my computer is struggling right now. Not sure it might by internet glitches with this G4 storm.

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. I have lots to share in the upcoming months. For now, here's a few of my images from the October 14, 2023 Annular Solar Eclipse. Photographed from our camp somewhere in the Comb Wash in Utah. It was spectacular! I am so thankful we got to experience this one. We are going to Texas next month for the upcoming Total Solar Eclipse of 2024. I can't wait! I have been waiting for this since 2017!

I felt the need to take a photo of our sun today. It has been so aggressive and agitated lately, I wanted to capture some sun spots. If you look close, you can see them. This is taken with an old crappy lens, lol. I don't like the quality, but it is the best I can do right now. I hope you like it!

Last night/this morning was the best aroura dance I have had the pleasure to photograph or see. It happened to be my son's 11th birthday as well. Lady aroura gifted him with quite the dance!! It was above our heads, we seen color with our naked eyes multiple times, the whole sky was pulsing, it was worth the freezing temps. Best show yet!!!! Here are some of my favorites from the night.

Started at 8pm and left after midnight.
Moon was around 45% illumination, it was bright!
Taken with my Nikon d810 and my Rokinon 14mm 2.8
