Another rescue dog has found her perfect home!

The Underdogs Project has almost doubled the amount I originally set out to raise, and I honestly can't be more grateful!

You guys have blown me away with your heartwarming stories of dogs you've given a second, third, fourth, and sometimes even more chances at finding true love and a place to call home.

There are several themes I’ve heard over and over from those who have participated:

“I thought I was saving them, but it turns out they saved me.”

“They helped me through the hardest times of my life.”

“I was so depressed and almost didn't make it. My dog gave me purpose and a reason to get up every day.”

“They bring me joy and make me laugh every day.”

“They have taught me so many lessons about forgiveness, true love, patience, and resilience.”

“They have brought so many wonderful new friends into my life through volunteering and new hobbies.”

In short, dogs really are man's best friend. They are little bits of heaven sent into our lives, and they are absolutely something worth celebrating.

There are a limited number of spots left to join Volume II.

Dogs are a vertible form of self-care.

Getting Underdogs on Amazon has been a lesson in steadfast composure.

Only the value of my Mac has kept it from being chucked through the front window and onto the porch.

Despite crossing all the t’s and dotting all the i’s, only to double back and recross t’s and redot i’s I could have sworn I had already crossed and dotted, I was met with rejection after error after rejection.

For a brief, glorious moment, I was fluent in the lexicon of publishing and Amazon’s very particular guidelines and policies. Since I’m unlikely to use such language in the next few days, it will soon leave my memory entirely.

Thus, getting Volume 1 listed on Amazon has been much like herding feral cats into the ocean.

ChatGPT and Claude tag-teamed this endeavor with me, and the three of us have been working on it, off and on, unsuccessfully, since April.

Until today.

Friends, Underdogs: Tales of Rescue, True Love and Finding Home, Volume 1 is now officially available on Amazon.

Please go buy one so that several months of technological suffering were not entirely in vain.
