Here it is, one year after premiering it at Fresh Coast Film Festival and a day before sign up for the Marji Gesick. The film KIKO follows our favorite Brazilian Yooper as he takes on ultra-endurance events on his beloved BMX bike, shares some funny stories and tells some hard truths about STUFF vs EXPERIENCES. Enjoy, laugh, learn, share---and go do something that forces you to grow and appreciate the miracle of being alive.

8 years and 7 fests!

Are you new to Fresh Coast Film Festival? Informally, FCFF began in Spring of 2016 with Aaron Peterson Studios, Bill Thompson, and Bugsy Sailor sitting in a booth at Third Street Bagel dreaming about building a documentary film festival in Marquette. From the beginning, storytelling has been at our core, while we celebrate the outdoor lifestyle, water-rich environment and resilient spirit of the Great Lakes and Upper Midwest. In less than six months we pulled off our first festival in October 2016.

Our scrappy little organization is now in its 8th year, three weeks out from our 7th festival. But we're not as little as we used to be. We grew to a board of nine, have over 100 volunteers each year, and have shown over 500 documentary films. Oh, and we're a registered 501(c)3.

We're just weeks away from bringing 80+ new films to the community and welcoming dozens of filmmakers.

From the beginning, we've always said there wouldn't be a red carpet at Fresh Coast, if there was, it'd be hunter orange and muddy after the first day.
