I’m opening five in-home photo sessions. This can include photos of individuals, couples, pregnancy/postpartum, families with big kids (I have teens myself, so I know what to say to make them laugh or roll eyes), and/or pets! I'm here to capture you as you are. I love to have fun and get weird so open to *most* things! Sessions will be 30 to 60 minutes.

I am offering these sessions at a discounted rate with full rights to clients to use the images, as I continue to build my portfolio. In exchange, my ask is that clients agree to allow me to share a selection of images for portfolio and storytelling purposes. I will get permission from clients on the specific photos before posting.

My work is intuitive, real, and centered on connection — capturing the way you hold and love yourself and others in the space where your life actually happens.

I’d love to hold space for you through images.

Welcome, Friends.

I’m Melinda/M. Britton! If you want to get to know me, you can imagine if Wednesday Addams was a double Leo. 🖤 I love to have fun, I don’t shy away from the messy and hard things in life, and if it’s considered weird or taboo, I likely will love it. I believe that life in and of itself is art.

As I have begun to capture people and the ones they love in photos, a truth has revealed itself over and over again: in birth, in life, and in death—we are all held.

During a weekend getaway in the Keweenaw with my husband, we did some dreaming with business names, and I laughed as I suggested “All the Feels.” For those who know me, it’s no surprise—I’ve always felt things deeply, and in that, what has continued to stay with me the most are those who held me through it, whether in their heart, their thoughts, or in their arms.

Learning, growing, and stepping into something new is tender and vulnerable. I am deeply grateful to my mentor and friend, Sabrina Langdon, and to my friend, Emma Liston, for holding space for me along this journey.

Life is woven from moments of being held, of new beginnings, of love, of loss, of becoming, of starting again, and everything in between. It is an honor to witness those moments, to hold space for you, and to capture a piece of your story.
