Autumn Hutton Photography New Orleans Birth and Motherhood lifestyle Photographer. I’m Autumn, parenthood photographer and momtrepreneur.

Originally from southwest Florida, I currently live in Marrero, Louisiana. I moved to New Orleans by myself for no particular reason at all over 8 years ago. I met a Cajun boy, fell in love and made my home here. When I'm not photographing families, I'm with my own, getting dirty in our garden or helping my husband with his crawfish catering business.

The number one reservation families have about in-home photos is: "but my home is so messy", and I'm here to tell you, once more - it really doesn't matter.

As long as you don't live in a home void of windows, (and actually, even if you do - I carry an external flash soooooo) we can make some magic happen.

This family is a military family who discovered they would be moving shortly after the birth of their daughter. In fact, only days before I arrived to photograph them. So naturally they were concerned over the fact that their entire life was in boxes; however, you'd never know this if I didn't tell you :)

In case you can't tell I love colorrrr.
I don't really do much "styling" outside of asking questions during our planning consult that help you think about the vibe you want for your session. I always recommend keeping it natural and authentic to who you and your family are, and thinking about how the colors you choose to wear may interact with the way your home (or other chosen location) is styled/painted.
..and it often ends with photos that are truly representative of your life.

As you can see, this session has a very cool-toned pallet and in color theory your blue tones typically evoke feelings of calm, trust, serenity; this family was the epitome of down-to-earth and I love that their photos embody that in more ways than one.

A "newborn" shoot booked at just around baby's first birthday because there isn't a "right" or "best time" to schedule your shoot. Your baby(ies) will always be curious what life looked like during the years they won't likely remember...curious what you looked like "back in the day".
