Raffle!
50-inch smart TV

This weekend, Community Food Packaging of Abington is hosting the biggest event we’ve ever done (in 14 years!), one of four between tomorrow and Monday night.

They set a goal to feed 300,000. They have raised enough to pack 312,000 meals, but are still 27,000 shy of filling all 33 orders. George Washington Toma has stepped in to save the day by offering a $600 smart flatscreen 50-inch TV. 300 raffle tickets ($25 each) will be sold. You can give here:
endhungerne.org/ ..and note raffle between now and noon on Sunday.

A few weeks ago, we said that we would be feeding 742,000 in the month leading up to Thanksgiving. Thanks to your generosity, it’s actually 834,000.

We are so, so thankful for you!

Here’s a recap of the three ways to end hunger in New England:
1. Fund, don’t pack: Volunteers who grab spots on EndHungerNE.org/ pack the meals you fund, which are picked up/delivered to your neighborhoods throughout the region.
2. Fund, come to our Pembroke MA warehouse to pack: Just let us know the date, start time, and number of volunteers you are bringing. Max 90 volunteers for as many hours as you can fund. Our record is 248,000 meals packed at our warehouse at one event. You can pack all 10 kinds!
3. Fund and pack in your community. Please email/message us and we’ll send you the paperwork. Our average event is 27,000 meals. The minimum is 10,000. You can pack 1 kind for every 10,000 meals you fund.

"Fading Light”

This sunset image along the coast of southern California was captured after a long day of exploring. Driving back along the coast, I was watching the sky and trying to time a location for sunset. I ended up finding a small beach, Del Mar. I had to run out to the low-lying tidal flats to get past the people that had gathered to watch the sunset. I found this eroded part of the beach to use as my focal point and was very happy with the image I was able to capture.

"Sunset At Ocean Bluff”

This image comes from the shores of Ocean Bluff in Marshfield, MA. A beautiful summer sunset set the stage for this shot. The tide happened to be low enough to show some wet sand and I was able to capture the reflective colors in both the sky and sand.

“Grey Sky At Beadle Rock”

A long exposure photograph of Beadles Rock in Marshfield MA. I chose a muted color palette to highlight this iconic rock in the sand. Long exposure for this image creates the unique cloud pattern in the sky.
