My style of photography is more about the genuine interaction rather than heavily posed images. Rest assured we will get the traditional shots, but I really strive to steal a moment in time that will become a cherished momento in your home. Motherhood is so beautiful. 🤍

There’s a quiet understanding that comes from meeting another mama in a season you’re living yourself. The late nights, the tiny newborn snuggles, the way everything feels both brand new and so familiar all at once.

This sweet little one was born just three days before my own baby, and getting to photograph their growing family while I’m walking through this same tender season of motherhood felt especially meaningful.

There’s something so special about being invited into these first days of a family’s story, and this one felt a little extra close to my heart. 🤍

We’ve slowly started our way back into homeschooling this week, mostly through reading poetry, sharing our favorite summer memories, storytelling, drawing, baking, and creating.

We also welcomed our sweet baby girl in June, so it’s been a beautiful (and sometimes chaotic!) adjustment finding new rhythms with three kids.

When I read this poem to the kids this week, it made me think about how often our children are inviting us into their little worlds.

I see it in my daughter, who loves to create with her hands. We joke about how messy she is, but she is endlessly creative and talented in her own way.

And I see it in my 11 year son, who is still holding onto those last little bits of childlike wonder. He loves to rattle off expert level facts about literally everything, and I’m grateful for learning something new from him every day.

As kids head back to school this week, I hope we remember to step into their worlds when they invite us in.

There is so much magic there. 💛

2026 Fall Books open Friday at 8am 🍁🍂

I’ve been a little quiet around here lately, and for the sweetest reason. 💛 The last five weeks have been filled with newborn snuggles, soaking in every moment with our sweet baby girl, Lowen.

As much as I’ve loved this special season, I’m so excited to get back behind the camera this fall and spend time with all of my amazing photography families. Truly, it’s something I’ve been looking forward to.

This fall will look a little different as I ease back from maternity leave. I’ll be offering a limited number of 20-minute sessions at a few carefully chosen locations. I may open a few additional dates as the season goes on, but for now I’m intentionally keeping my schedule light so I can be fully present both for my family and for yours. 💛

I feel like I have a million sessions to share from the last few months, each one so unique and precious and worthy of a spot here on the grid. It’s on my pre-leave to do list to schedule some posts while away, fingers crossed we can achieve that.

This session was one of those where everything just sort of aligned perfectly; great location, beautiful lighting, happy toddler and a creative spirit that flowed.

Next week is probably one of my busiest - so let’s collectively pray for some favorable weather for my wonderful families!
