Congratulations to Ana Cheng, your State Champion at No. 1 Singles! 🏆 Entering the tournament as the No. 1 seed, Ana dominated the competition, winning four consecutive matches without dropping a single set. She capped off an incredible season with a remarkable 27-2 record, cementing her place in Mattawan tennis history.
Another outstanding and unprecedented performance came from the No. 1 Doubles team of Evie Douglass and Addy Copeland. The duo battled their way to the State Finals, showcasing tremendous determination and skill before falling in a hard-fought three-set match against Forest Hills Central. The success didn't stop there. Four additional Mattawan flights earned match victories at the state tournament, and the team's collective effort propelled the Wildcats to a 7th-place finish in the state.
