✨ A NEW CHAPTER FOR MY PHOTOGRAPHY BUSINESS ✨

Photography has been a part of my life for longer than I can remember, but in 2024, I decided to take that passion and start building it into a business. Since then, I’ve learned, grown, made so many memories, and had the privilege of capturing some of the most special moments in other people’s lives.

Now, I feel like it’s time for a change. 🤍

Over the next week or two, you’ll start seeing a new name and a new chapter for my business. Special Moments Photography will officially be changing to Abby Van Photography.

For those who may not know, my brother Cody passed away in 2021. His middle name was Van, which is where the new name Abby Van Photography comes from. Cody was a huge part of why I started photography and why it holds such a special place in my heart.

To me, pictures are so much more than just pictures. They hold memories, emotions, people, and moments that we can never get back. They give us something to look back on and hold onto when all we have left are the memories. Losing Cody made me realize just how priceless photographs truly are, and that became a huge part of why I wanted to continue capturing memories for other people.

Abby Van Photography is more than just a new business name. It carries a piece of my story, my passion, and my brother with me as I continue doing something I love.

I’m so excited for this next chapter and everything that’s to come. Thank you to everyone who has supported me, booked with me, trusted me with your memories, shared my work, or simply followed along. I truly wouldn’t be where I am today without you. 🤍

Here’s to a new name, a new chapter, and continuing to capture the moments that matter most. 📸

Some battles leave scars that no one
else can see.🤍

Behind the smile, behind the laughter, behind the person everyone knows, there can be a story of battles, pain, and moments where simply making it through the day felt impossible.

This sweet girl has walked through some really tough seasons, but her story doesn’t end with the things she’s been through. She found something stronger than the darkness. She found Jesus.

He met her in the moments she felt broken. He stayed when things got hard. He gave her strength when she didn’t think she had any left, and reminded her that her life still has purpose.

These photos are a reminder that mental health struggles are real, but so is hope. Your scars don’t make you weak. Your past doesn’t define you. And you are never too broken for God to restore.

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3

So incredibly proud of this girl and the strength it took to keep going. 🤍
There is beauty in surviving. There is beauty in healing. And there is so much beauty in the story God is still writing.

They say the best memories are the ones you never want to end. 🤍

I spend so much time behind the camera capturing everyone else’s love stories, so getting to step in front of the lens with my favorite person was something really special. These are memories I’ll treasure forever.

Twenty years. One beautiful love story. 🤍

Getting to capture my parents’ 20th anniversary was one of the most meaningful sessions I’ve ever photographed. Watching the love they still have for each other after all these years is a reminder that the best love stories only get better with time.

After taking a little time away, I’m so excited to officially say that my photography business is back up and running! 📸🤍
