I truly believe a portrait session is one of the best ways to celebrate a birthday. ✨ Especially a milestone birthday, but really, do we even need a milestone?

When his brother reached out to us, he didn’t ask for a perfect photograph.
He wanted to celebrate someone he loves.

One light. Three completely different images.

Changing where the light comes from completely transforms a portrait. It changes the mood, the emotion, and the way the subject is perceived.
A lot of people think it's the camera that creates the magic, but more often than not, it's the light.
The right lighting can take the exact same person, in the exact same outfit, and tell an entirely different story.

If you've spent any time on South Padre Island, chances are you've been to Viva.

One of my favorite parts of photography is getting to document the people who shape our community. For this feature, I photographed the owner of Viva for the latest cover story in RGVision Magazine.
It was a privilege to help tell the story of a place that's become part of so many people's South Padre traditions.
