Yesterday some of my good photography friends had a chance to visit the Magnolia Plantation and Gardens in Charleston, SC. We visited the Rookery where there are many birds nesting, building their nests and feeding their young. Beautiful Irises were blooming all around and the Alligators and Turtles were sunning themselves.

Last night hubby and I had a blast! We spent time at a gathering of good friends doing a "steel wool" photo shoot. Two brave men went out on a boat - one guided the boat and the other twirled the fiery steel wool. The trick was being able to capture the many patterns created by the twirling wool. Great fun, lots of oohs and aahs as we saw the results of our efforts. I hope you enjoy!
