You’ll never regret documenting this part. 🤍

One question I hear about maternity portraits is whether a studio session is a good option.
Absolutely - especially if you want something simple, timeless and completely focused on you.

For this recent studio maternity session, we kept the styling simple and let beautiful light, posing and connection do the work.

And that’s one of the things I love about studio maternity photography. We don’t need an elaborate location or tons of props to create variety. With thoughtful styling and guided posing, we can create portraits that feel elevated while still feeling like you.
Because maternity pictures aren’t only about the baby you’re waiting to meet.

They’re about documenting you in this season, too.
The anticipation. The changes. The excitement. A version of yourself that exists for such a short amount of time.
And someday, these won’t only be photographs for you.

Senior pictures should look like you - just elevated. ✨

One of the biggest questions I get before a senior session is, “What should I wear?”

My biggest advice? Don’t choose an outfit just because it looks good on Pinterest. Choose something you actually feel confident in. Your senior portraits should capture your personality, your style and who you are in this season.

Think about variety, too - something casual, something elevated, and pieces that work with the location you choose can give your final gallery completely different looks without making the session feel complicated.

And you don’t have to figure it all out alone. Helping plan those details is part of the experience.

A headshot answers:
“Who are you?”

Branding photos should answer a whole lot more.
What do you do?
Who do you serve?
What does your business feel like?
What makes working with you different?

That’s why a branding session isn’t just about taking pretty photos.
We’re intentional about what we create.

The goal is a library of images you can actually use on your website, social media, marketing materials, Google profile, email campaigns and everywhere else your business shows up.

Because your photos shouldn’t just make your business look good.
They should help you market it.

You don’t need to know how to pose. That’s my job. 🤍

One of the biggest things I hear before senior sessions is some version of, “I’m awkward in front of the camera.”

Good news: you don’t have to show up knowing what to do.

I’ll guide you through posing, movement, where to put your hands (because somehow that’s always the question 😂), and all the little adjustments that make a big difference.

The goal isn’t to make you look perfectly posed.
It’s to help you feel comfortable enough that your photos actually look and feel like you.

So if being “good in front of the camera” is something you’re worried about before your senior session, cross that one off the list. I’ve got you. ✨

Where should we take them?

My answer? Start with the senior, not the location. 🤍

Think about their personality and style first.

Modern + editorial? Look for architecture and an urban setting.

Relaxed + natural? A park with beautiful light might be perfect.

Want something completely different? Choose a location that connects to their personality, interests or style.

The prettiest location isn’t always the right location.

The right one is the place that helps their senior photos feel like them.
