The latest SPC Day 1 Outlook shows a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) stretching from parts of the Southern Plains all the way into the Mid-Atlantic.

💨 Damaging winds appear to be the main severe-weather threat, with a corridor extending from parts of Texas/Oklahoma through Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia and into Virginia/Maryland.

Storms could produce:
• Strong to damaging wind gusts
• Heavy rain
• Frequent lightning
• Locally intense thunderstorms

⚠️ SEVERE WEATHER THREAT TODAY! ⚠️

The SPC has a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) stretching from portions of the Plains through the Ohio Valley and into the Northeast today.

💨 Damaging winds are the main concern, with a 15% wind risk highlighted across portions of Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio and surrounding areas. A broader 5% wind risk extends all the way back into parts of Kansas and Oklahoma.

⛈️ Strong to severe thunderstorms could produce:
• Damaging wind gusts
• Frequent lightning
• Heavy rainfall
• Isolated severe storms

If you’re anywhere along this corridor, stay weather aware and have multiple ways to receive warnings!

The latest SPC Day 1 outlook highlights a corridor of severe thunderstorm potential across portions of the Central Plains into the Upper Midwest.

💨 Damaging winds appear to be the main concern, with a 15% wind risk in the highest highlighted area.

🧊 Large hail is also possible, with a 5% hail risk across portions of the region.

⚠️ A Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) is in place across the greatest threat area, surrounded by a broader Marginal Risk.
