Wild Oak Studio is NOW OPEN! 🌿📸

I’m Shelby — the face behind Shelby White Photography, a mom, full-time Labor & Delivery nurse, horse lover, book lover, Diet Coke enthusiast, and someone who absolutely loves meeting new people and capturing the moments that matter most.

Photography started as something I simply loved, and it has grown into something I’m so incredibly excited to share with others. I love creating a space where people can feel comfortable, be themselves, and make memories that they’ll look back on for years to come.

And the name Wild Oak is extra special to me because it was inspired by my daughter, Oaklyn.🩷

I’m excited to open up Wild Oak Studio to other photographers! Whether you’re looking for a studio for a session, a styled shoot, or simply a beautiful space to create in, I can’t wait to welcome you.

When I’m not working, photographing, or being a mom, you’ll probably find me curled up with a good book, or enjoying a Diet Coke. Definitely enjoying a Diet Coke!🥤

These are the stories I love documenting. The real ones. The ones that don’t need to be posed or perfect. Got to photograph my dad doing what he does best — working with his horses and putting in the kind of hard work that often goes unnoticed.

The hands that work hard.
The patience it takes.
The kind of everyday moments that become memories before you even realize it.

First, getting to photograph my mentor of 7.5 years? Immediately yes. 🥹🤍

BUT… my favorite personality trait of mine — the instant panic — definitely made an appearance. 😂 Because photographing someone who has known you, taught you, and supported you for the last 7.5 years is just a LITTLE intimidating!

Leslie was my primary preceptor when I started my career in Labor & Delivery, and she is truly one of the most beautiful humans, inside and out. She has taught me so much over the years, not just about nursing, but about kindness, confidence, and caring for people.

And then there’s her family. 🥹 Her kids are the sweetest, most fun little humans, and they are absolutely full of life and love.

We laughed pretty much the entire time, and honestly, that’s exactly what I hoped for. Getting to step outside of the hospital and capture this beautiful family was such a full-circle moment for me.

Leslie, thank you for trusting me with your family and for being such an incredible part of my journey — both as a nurse and now as a photographer. 🤍

The sweetest evening celebrating Jayne & Ryan before they said “I do.” 🤍

Their rehearsal dinner was full of laughter, love, happy memories, and so many beautiful moments with family and friends. You could truly feel how loved these two are.

I’m so grateful I got to capture this special part of their wedding weekend. Congratulations, Jayne & Ryan! Here’s to forever! ✨🥂
