There is something about autumn that makes us want to hold on a little tighter.

The little ones aren’t quite so little.
The family looks a little different than it did last year. And somehow, the ordinary moments become the ones we wish we had photographs of.

This fall, I’m opening a limited number of Fall Family Portrait Experiences throughout late September and the first two weeks of October.

Natural. Warm. Unhurried.
A little bit of autumn, a lot of your family.

Meet Jada. 🌻

A little girl, a summer eve, and a field full of sunflowers.

There is something so beautiful about photographing childhood when it is still this simple—bare feet in the earth, flowers taller than she is, a two dress that move with the breeze, and a smile that doesn’t need to be posed.

These are the photographs that become more meaningful with time.

Because one day, Jada will be grown.

And these images will remind her of the little girl she once was.

Childhood is fleeting. The photographs shouldn’t be.

THE BEGINNING

Before the days become busy.
Before the little clothes are outgrown.
Before those tiny fingers become hands that reach for you.

There is this.

The quiet.
The wonder.
The weight of them resting against your chest.
The way you instinctively memorize every little detail.

These are the photographs I believe become more meaningful with time.

Not because they are perfect, but because they bring you back.

Back to how small they were.
How deeply you loved them.
How it felt to hold your baby in those first fleeting days.

This is why I photograph newborns.

Not just for today,
but for the mama who will look back twenty years from now and whisper,

“I remember this.”

Before he could know the sound of their voices,
he already knew their touch.

The first days with her baby brother might not be remembered. But one day, she’ll look back at these photographs and see the very beginning of a love that will follow them through their whole lives.

A big sister.
A baby brother.
Two little souls who didn’t choose each other, but were given each other.

And perhaps that is one of the most beautiful gifts a parent can give—

someone to grow up with.
Someone to protect.
Someone to laugh with.
Someone to love always.

The little hands.
The quiet touches.
The rings that carry a love story.
The sister who will remember holding him small.
The parents who will one day look back and realize how quickly this chapter passed.
