I’m so excited to finally share this sweet session with you! 🤍 I got to meet Clara at the end of July, and she is just the most precious little girl.

I went to high school with both Casey and Taylor. And yes, we had like FOUR Taylors in our class, so apparently our parents were all on the same page in 1997. 😂 I’ll never get over the fact that photography was just a hobby of mine back then, and now it has given me the opportunity to reconnect with so many people from different seasons of my life and document their families. It really is such a gift.

Clara gave us the sweetest mix of sleepy newborn snuggles and wide-eyed moments throughout her session. And those beautiful eyes! 🥹 She even gave us the sweetest little smile while laying in her crib. She must have decided it was a pretty cozy place to be!

There’s something so special about getting to reconnect with people years later and being invited into such meaningful seasons of their lives. Welcome to the world, Clara! You are so very loved. 🤍

I’m getting SO excited about our upcoming trip to Arizona this fall!

I spent some time this week going through photos from past trips and came across these ones of the Benner family. There’s just something about that Arizona light, the desert, and the mountains in the distance that makes everything feel a little extra magical.

One of my favorite things about photography is how a photo can take you right back to a specific place and season. I love that these images hold a piece of this season for the Benner family, but they also hold such a sweet memory from our own trip to a place we love so much.

Now I’m counting down the days until we’re back in the desert again. 🌵

One of the sweetest, most unexpected parts of this job has been getting to reconnect with people from so many different seasons of my life. 🤍

Eryn and I went to high school together, and I never would have guessed back then that one day I’d be photographing her beautiful and growing family! There’s something so special about getting to meet the spouses and children of people I grew up with and getting a little glimpse into the lives they’ve built.

Emmy was so much fun during our session and full of the sweetest personality. I already know she’s going to be the best big sister!

I’m so grateful this job continues to bring people back into my life in the sweetest ways and that I get to document such special seasons along the way. 🤍

Now that the secret is out, I can finally share these photos from Chip and Kelsey’s gender reveal! 🥹🤍

When Kelsey reached out at the beginning of the summer to tell me she was pregnant, I was SO excited for them. Then she asked if I would be the one to reveal the gender to them and photograph the moment, and I could not have been more honored. Kelsey is an incredibly gifted photographer herself, so being trusted with such a special moment for their family meant so much to me.

We got to our location, set up the blanket and flowers, and then it was time for me to open the email! I wrote the results on a card, handed it to Chip, and watched everything unfold from behind my camera.

The moment Chip handed Kelsey the flowers, there was SO much joy. She had a gut feeling it was a boy, and the second she realized she was right, she literally jumped for joy! 🥹 Getting to witness their excitement and capture it all for them was something I’ll never forget.

So honored to have been chosen for this moment and SO excited for Baby Boy Sturek! 💙

Here’s a peek into last night’s session with the Tuzzolo family! 🤍

We had to reschedule their session twice thanks to Virginia’s crazy weather, but last night felt like such a treat. We had the most magical sunshine, and somehow our timing worked out perfectly because as soon as we finished, the storm clouds rolled in and lightning started lighting up the sky!

And sweet August was an absolute natural in front of the camera. He was so full of joy and personality and made the entire evening so much fun. After waiting through two reschedules, I’d say this wait was definitely worth it! 🥰

Giving you a peek into the magic that happened at the Thompson family’s session earlier this summer. 🤍 It was quite literally the hottest day of the summer, but you’d never guess it looking at those smiles and all that joy!

We were gifted the dreamiest light that I’ll never get over. Agecroft was absolutely putting on a show for us, and it made an already beautiful evening feel even more magical.

Getting to watch my longtime friends become a family of four has been such a gift, and I’m so grateful I’ve had a front row seat to so many of their milestones along the way.

It feels like just yesterday we were apartment neighbors, doing impromptu photoshoots by the dumpsters because that’s where the best light was 😂 and bundling up for snowy photo sessions just because we could. Those are some of my favorite memories.

Then came Luke. I still remember holding him as a newborn and spending every Sunday morning trying to teach him to say “TayTay” until he finally did. Seeing him step into the role of big brother today was one of those full-circle moments I’ll never forget.

There is something so special about getting to watch your friends become parents and then watching their children grow. Thank you for continuing to invite me into these moments. It means more than you know. Welcome to the world, Theo. You’re already so loved. 🤍

I got so many messages after sharing a few behind-the-scenes videos from this session, and for good reason! A stunning venue and the sweetest couple? It really is the perfect combination. 🤍

I’ve been dreaming about photographing a session at Big Spring Farm for years, and it absolutely lived up to every expectation. I’m so thankful Peter and Brianna were willing to make the drive to Lexington for their maternity photos. We spent the evening wandering around the property, soaking in the beautiful scenery, and getting to know each other.

The next time I see these two, they’ll have their baby in their arms, and I already can’t wait. 🥹

There are moments every year in Belize that stay with me long after I come home.

This year, one of those moments happened in a simple conversation with a mom. She told me she still has the mustard seed necklace she received at last year’s Women’s Conference. She’s allergic to the chain, so she keeps it tucked away in a special box. Every so often, she takes it out to remind herself and her son that faith as small as a mustard seed is enough.

So much time, prayer, and preparation goes into these Mission Experiences, and in that moment, God reminded me that He’s still working long after we’ve packed up and gone home.

She continued to share that her son had been counting down the days until Bible Adventure Camp because he couldn’t wait to see one of our team members from last year. When he realized that person wasn’t able to return this year, he came home heartbroken.

Then she looked at me and said, “A physical item won’t get me through a hard day, but the love and the truth we learn from you will.” I haven’t stopped thinking about those words.

Sometimes we can measure the success of a mission by attendance numbers, projects completed, or supplies distributed. Those things matter, and they help meet real needs. But this conversation reminded me that the greatest gift we bring isn’t something we can pack in a suitcase.

It’s love that shows up, year after year.
It’s love that remembers stories and names.
It’s love that points people to the unchanging love of Jesus.
It’s love that stays.

I think that’s one of the most beautiful pictures of the Gospel. Jesus didn’t simply come to meet a need and leave. He came to dwell among us, to know us, to walk with us, and to invite us into relationship with Him.

I’m so thankful that God allows us to experience just a small glimpse of that kind of love in Belize. It continues to remind me that ministry isn’t just about the week we’re there. It’s about the relationships that continue long after the plane takes off.

I’ll be spending the next several days in Belize serving alongside an incredible team with . It’s always one of the most meaningful weeks of my year, and I’m so excited to see all that God has in store.
