A relatively quiet day for the Air Tankers working out of Medford today, all the Large Air Tankers left earlier in the day for various fires across the West. Tanker 910 conducted only 2 flights today.

Croman's S-61's 624CK and 625CK have been helping combat the Castle Fire in the Umpqua National Forest making fuels stops back at Croman's facility in White City.

Alaska Horizon's retro livery also made a visit into Medford this evening.

Another busy day with Tankers 910 and 912 flying missions on fires in Central Oregon and reloading out of Medford. Large Air Tankers left Medford earlier in the day for Central Oregon after overnighting and 3 returned this evening.

2 T-38's made a fuel stop this afternoon and departed this evening back down to Beale AFB.

REACH's special livery H130 stopped into Million Air for fuel after a patient drop off at Asante.

Busy evening out at the Rogue Valley International Medford Airport with Tanker 912 reloading out of Medford for 4 flights on the Bench Fire in Central Oregon.

5 Large Air Tankers repositioned to Medford for the night with Redmond full, highlighted by Tanker 210 from the NSW Rural Fire Service, Tanker 136 came in with a feathered #2 engine and underwent maintenance to get back in service. Tankers 104 and 106 from Erickson Aero Tanker arrived along with Aeroflite Tanker 168 which arrived after sunset.

Some of the highlights from yesterday and today. Yesterday Tanker 910 was dispatched to the Waldo Fire over near O'Brien where they conducted 2 sorties on the fire while Tankers 12 and 183 came down from La Grande and also conducted 2 sorties on the fire before overnighting in Medford.

Today Tanker 910 has been flying multiple missions on the Biscar Fire down in Lassen County in California, Tankers 167 and 183 have also been dispatched there while reloading out of Reno Stead.

A Cessna 175 also experienced an engine out emergency shortly after departing the Medford Airport, and was able to make a safe landing while ARFF 10 and Operations vehicles met them.

With smoke causing visibility issues for tankers to work on the East Evans Creek Fire, Tankers 01, 137 and 910 were dispatched to Central Oregon today to help with numerous fires after the recent thunderstorms.

Tankers 01 and 137 reloaded out of Redmond with 01 helping crews on the Coyote Fire and 137 worked the Akawa Butte Fire with both returning to Medford this evening.

Tanker 910 was dispatched for the Akawa Butte Fire returning to Medford for 2 reloads before ending the day.

Watch Tanker 137 arriving and departing from MFR, a Boeing 737-300 “FireLiner” operated by Coulson Aviation.

The aircraft is supporting the East Evans Creek Fire near Shady Cove, currently estimated at approximately 7,843 acres with 5% containment as aerial and ground crews continue suppression efforts in steep, rugged terrain.

Watch Tanker 102 arrival, reloading, and departure of Erickson Aero Tanker TKR102 at MFR for reload after a drop on the Evans Creek Road Fire before heading back for another drop on 7/10/26. Unfortunately, LiveATC has been down for months at MFR and no transcripts available for these videos.

With heavy activity from the East Evans Creek Fire yesterday and smoke clearing out earlier in the day Tankers 01, 137, 167 and 169 got to work helping fire fighters on the ground.

The Medford Air Tanker Base was able to pump 41 loads of retardant into the tankers which was roughly 128,000 gallons of retardant on the fire.

Tanker 910 was dispatched out of Moses Lake and made one drop before coming into Medford for the night.
