I didn’t use gels or leaves here to photograph our MFA students, but I was inspired by and his work with colored gels and with her work shooting through leaves. The objects in the foreground include a blue cleaning bottle, orange dish soap and a purple lava lamp.

I had a vision and I am thankful for the autonomy and creative freedom I have at work. The AU fashion merchandising program is holding their fashion show this Spring, and when I found out it was a wedding theme, I started brainstorming. The result was a photoshoot at the Clark mansion, built in 1917 and gifted in 1956 to become the Good Shepherd rehabilitation and nursing facility in Ashland. The talented Professor Alison Rossi trusted my lead and her skilled students loved the architectural style and interior design to showcase their work! Thank you to Sarah Kerr for her generosity and allowing us to use this beautiful historical space.
