I couldn't let this day go by without paying homage to one of my favorite love stories, my grandparents. I am so thankful to come from a family who cherishes storytelling. I love sitting at my Grandma's kitchen table and hearing stories about how she used to dye my Grandpa's jello red because he didn't like yellow or how they would drive the coast of California with friends or how my Grandpa would sing Slovak drinking songs at Christmas (or really any occassion!).

I remember spending Saturdays at their house in Cleveland with Emeril's cooking show or Dean Martin playing in the background. I remember teaching Grandpa how to play garbage and watching Grandma play solitaire. I remember when he was singing Simon & Garfunkel in hospice. I remember getting to celebrate their 50th and 60th wedding anniversaries.

They are the heart of my photography philosophy- making and capturing real memories. I want you to have those photos with your grandparents, your families, your friends that you can add to your collection of stories. I wish for all my couples that just like them, your wedding day is only the first of many of your best days ever.
