This was an awesome project to be a part of. It was 6 months in the making on my end with multiple trips out to Mount Vernon, IL to capture the process. Nic, Josh and the whole crew at Baxmeyer did an awesome job on this stretch of interstate 57 southbound. I enjoy doing projects like this seeing how they progress overtime, just thinking about how there are dozens of men all doing separate jobs to complete one finished project. Thanks again Nic for letting me be a part of this project with you and your team!

Check out this beautifully remodeled home on 5 acres. Located just outside of Edwardsville on Old Carpenter Road. No detail left undone on this one. We’ve been working on this project over the last year along IL-255. The project was ran and completed by some guys I went to high school with so it’s pretty neat being able to collaborate on a project with them. This project encompasses a 2 mile stretch along IL-255 corridor just south of Jerseyville. If you haven’t got the chance to drive on it yet make a trip over and check it out.

We've Been working on some solar farms here In Illinois. From Chicago to Palmyra, last week we flew 12MW and a minimum of 8 this week. We got to check out Sugar Creek Covered Bridge on a beautiful Spring Day last weekend. This Is a covered bridge which crosses Sugar Creek just southeast of Chatham, Illinois. The truss bridge is 110 feet long and 30 feet wide. The bridge was built by Thomas Black but noone is exactly sure on the date as sources disagree, some placing it at 1827 and others in 1880. The State of Illinois acquired the bridge in 1963 and renovated it two years later where it was still safe to drive across. The bridge closed to traffic in 1984 and is now part of a local park with a picnic area. It is one of only five historic covered bridges in Illinois and is the oldest of the remaining bridges.

The bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 9, 1978
