Visibility has never been about showing up to show up.

It’s about showing up so you can be found and seen by the people you’re here to serve.

So the next time you feel you’d rather just stay in the background, I want you to think about it this way instead.

You’re not just showing up with your face. You’re showing up with your message.

Who you help. How you help them.

It’s not about you. You’re making it all about the people you’re here to serve.

So show up. For them.

Leave a 💛 in the comments if you needed to hear this.

Blew out my birthday candles with my kiddos, then my husband and I headed to Aruba for a few days.

Sunshine, salt air, and long walks every single day.

We always try to explore whenever we’ve and this time that meant checking out the Butterfly Farm. It was such a wonderful experience.

Local food was on the itinerary too.

The Old Cunucu House and Caya House were two of our favorites. 10/10 recommend both.

Didn’t want to leave, and apparently the feeling was mutual.

Funny enough, as we were leaving the airport, one of the workers looked at us and said, “see you next week.”

We’ll take that as a sign…

More birthday celebrating still to come.

I'm incredibly proud to finally share that I am now a Certified Professional Photographer (CPP)🎉

A story is coming soon about this journey!

I'm grateful to Professional Photographers of America for this program and for the high standard it represents. The process challenged me, made me a better photographer, and ultimately helps me serve my clients at an even higher level.

To anyone who's working toward a goal that feels like it's taking longer than you expected...keep going.

One thing I know for sure is that the timeline matters far less than the person you're becoming along the way.

Thank you, PPA, for recognizing this milestone. I'm honored to join the community of Certified Professional Photographers🎉

Congrats to our July 2026 Certified Professional Photographers (CPPs)! 🎉🎊 Kudos to you all on this achievement - read the updated list here ➡ https://www.ppa.com/results/latest-certified-professional-photographers

Fifty.

That number feels surreal to write and say out loud.

As I celebrate this milestone birthday, I find myself reflecting on the years and the journey.

If my eight-year-old self could see the woman I’ve become, I think she’d smile.

She’d see a woman who has loved deeply, learned through hard seasons, built a business with purpose, and trusted that God had a plan even when she couldn’t see what was ahead.

She’d see someone who kept going.

And if my eighty-year-old self could pull up a chair beside me today, I have a feeling she’d simply say...

“Keep going.”

As I look back over these fifty years, my heart is filled with gratitude.

I’m grateful for my family.
I’m grateful for the relationships that have shaped my life.
I’m grateful for every client who’s trusted me with their story.
I’m grateful for the lessons that came through both joy and challenge.

Most of all, I’m grateful for God’s faithfulness and grace through every season. Looking back, I can see His hand in all of it. In the celebrations, in the waiting, in the unexpected turns, and in the opportunities that have shaped who I am today and who I’m becoming.

I truly am blessed.

Here’s to fifty.

Not because I’ve arrived, but because I know there is still more to my story. More people to serve. More stories to tell. More purpose to live out.

What a gift it is to keep becoming.

This is 50🩷

One of the things I hear most often before a brand photoshoot is...

“I’m awkward in front of the camera.”

Or...

“I have no idea what to do.”

If you’ve ever thought that, I want you to know you’re not alone.

Most of the women I work with don’t step in front of the camera every day. They’re coaches, consultants, speakers, creatives, and business owners who are much more comfortable serving their clients than being the center of attention.

That’s why one of my biggest jobs during your photoshoot has nothing to do with my camera.

It’s helping you feel comfortable.

I’m guiding you every step of the way, from where to stand to how to move, but even more importantly, I’m creating an environment where you can stop thinking about the camera and simply be yourself.

Because when you relax, everything changes.

Your smile becomes genuine.
Your personality shines through.
Your confidence starts to show.

And those are the moments that create the kind of brand photos that truly feel like you.

You don’t have to know how to pose before you arrive.

Drop a 💛in the comments if this is exactly how you’ve ever felt before a photoshoot.

So many good things to look forward to this week!  And up first, I’m back in Atlanta for the next few days with the PPA Board of Directors.

Always grateful for this opportunity to serve the members Professional Photographers of America (PPA) alongside an incredible BOD and our rockstar PPA staff!

And somehow... we’re already just 201 days away from Imaging USA! (Photographer friends...registration is open🎉)

What’s something you’re looking forward to this week? I’d love to hear!

Tomorrow is a content photoshoot day, which means today was all about the preparation.

One of my favorite parts of the process is thinking through the images I’ll create and making sure they support my client’s brand and the story she wants to tell.

For this session that looked like hydrangeas cut from my yard, arranged and ready for coastal vibes.

The best brand sessions don’t happen by accident.

They begin with thoughtful planning and maybe fresh hydrangeas.

This one is for the woman investing in her brand and wondering how to make sure her wardrobe choices still feel like her a year from now.

Your brand photos are going to live on your website, your social media, and your marketing materials.

Which means the last thing you want is a photo that already feels dated by next spring.

When in doubt, always err on the side of classic and timeless looks that will never go out of style.

A well-tailored blazer.
A linen button-down in cream or white.
A beautifully cut trouser.
Neutrals that let your face be the focus.

Classic doesn’t mean boring...it means intentional.
Timeless doesn’t mean plain...it means built to last.

Save this for your next photoshoot wardrobe planning session.📸

Are you a neutrals person or do you love a pop of color? Tell me in the comments.💛

June went by fast but it was a beautiful mix of travel, family, creativity, and connection.

Some of my favorites this month...

✨ A return to Japan after more than thirty years. Once a place I called home. Being there with my family made it so much more than a trip.
✨ Time spent with my dad and brother visiting. So grateful for every minute together❤️
✨ Back in the studio for a brand photoshoot and visibility strategy consults with some amazing women business owners
✨ A Chamber event with some networking in the mix. I met some new faces and caught up with old friends.
✨ Peony season may be over (and I missed it) but the hydrangeas and my roses are showing off. Loving spending time in my garden.

As I step into July, I’m looking forward to a month of celebration. It’s my birthday month and this year is a milestone one. I’m turning 50! 🎉

Any other July birthdays? Drop a 🎂 in the comments. I’d love to celebrate with you!
