Hi! My name is Liz. I am a 32 year old Memphis-made teacher, photographer and lifelong learner! After graduating from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Cultural Anthropology in 2014 and Peabody College at Vanderbilt in 2016, I made the decision to pursue a lifelong dream of working in ministry as a local Campus Missionary. While most of my mission work was local, I was afforded opportunities to travel abroad and share the gospel. The time I spent in ministry was extremely impactful and I carry that tumultuous yet precious time in my life with me every day. Currently, I am the Assistant Director of an adult English as a Second Language Program and working on expanding my photography business. In all areas of my life, professionally and personally, I have been so blessed to see the hand of God carefully and consistently writing a beautiful story of freedom and trust in his absolute goodness. If I had to share anything with other women during this time, I would encourage each to understand that journeys are not always linear, so your story, growth, and success probably won't be either. The quicker you make peace with that, the quicker you are able to genuinely enjoy the ride

This shoot was a rebrand of sorts. When we talked about the themes behind it, I realized that I wanted to convey the concurrence of power and vulnerability that accompanies new beginnings. We did that.

Also-- she makes it sooo easy! Face card never declines!

If you're starting a business or new venture, don't ever be ashamed or afraid to capture where you are RIGHT. NOW. The stone at the top of the mountain is just as important as those that form the base. (I stole that from Prince of Egypt, but it's true!)
