My advice for all students: get involved with your theater department for at least one production. There are so many things you can do and not all involve being on stage! What an opportunity to learn something different and I promise it will enrich your young life in some way!
I attended a large public school in Birmingham and we did not have a theater department. We all missed out.
ECS just finished their amazing production of Matilda the Musical last night. I am always amazed by the talent and work ethic of the cast and crew. So many things. They work so hard for weeks and weeks, and it shows. I could not help but become emotional at the end as I watched many taking bows for the last time with tears in their eyes. I know they were exhausted but also so sad it was over.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to be the Show Photographer once again. It was beautiful.

Last show weekend starts tonight! As always, I find capturing show photos for ECS Fine Arts so much fun and challenging at the same time. The cast and crew make it awesome. It’s only challenging because of the different lighting and scene changes. A challenge will focus me in on getting the shots! This show is great, no matter how many other versions you may have seen. Note: If the Saturday night show is postponed due to inclement weather, tickets will be honored at the make-up Saturday performance the next weekend-follow for exact details.

Celebrating Meredith — a stunning graduate who’s heading off to Mississippi State after an amazing high school journey! 💫 I’ve had the joy of knowing Meredith for the past five years, and it was such an honor to photograph her senior session. She absolutely shined during our shoot!
Meredith was a fierce competitor in both Cross Country and Track, and I loved capturing her in action at the meets — even if she gave me a hard time for documenting those intense running faces! 😄
We’re all going to miss her around campus, but I know she’s off to do incredible things. Best wishes to you, Meredith — keep flying! 🏃‍♀️📸🎓
