One year ago, I decided to take a chance on something that had been quietly growing in me for a long time. I didn’t have it all figured out (I still don’t), but I knew I wanted to extend myself in ways I had never let myself before.
This past year has given me more than I could have ever imagined. I’ve been invited into family sessions, milestone celebrations, late night dance floors, restaurant kitchens, and creative spaces full of life and movement. I’ve captured everything from intimate, everyday moments to big, electric events - stories told through love, food, connection, and the people at the center of it all. Getting to document those spaces is something I don’t take lightly.
To my clients, collaborators, and friends - thank you for trusting me, for believing in me, and for allowing me to see the world through your stories. You’ve shaped not only my work, but the way I move through this space.
I want to share a very special thank you to Keegan and Erica - for your mentorship, your honesty, and the way you’ve poured into me this past year. You’ve challenged me, encouraged me, and helped shape both my work and my confidence in ways I’ll carry with me for a long time. I’m so grateful to have had you both in my corner from the very beginning.
I also want to say, very intentionally, thank you to the LGBTQIA+ and POC communities who have welcomed me into your spaces with openness and generosity. I recognize that these are not spaces I’m entitled to, and the trust you’ve extended to me is something I hold with deep respect and responsibility. Many of the opportunities I’ve been given this year exist because of you, and I don’t take that for granted.
This work has stretched me, grounded me, and pushed me to grow - not just as a photographer, but as a person. I’m still learning. Still listening. Still figuring out how to do this in a way that feels meaningful and true to myself.
Year one was about saying yes, showing up, and building something from the ground up. Year two… I’m ready for more… more clarity, more confidence, and the same intention behind it all.
Thank you for being here. Truly.
