🥹📸 Just a little photography business appreciation post…
It’s only September, and I’m already almost fully booked for the rest of the year. 🥹❤️ And honestly… that is something I never could have imagined when I started this little business 4½ years ago.
What started as a small hobby has slowly turned into something that means SO much to me — and is getting closer and closer to becoming a full-time career. And that is absolutely incredible to think about.
There have definitely been ups and downs, plenty of mistakes, A LOT of learning, and more money invested into this business than I probably care to admit 😂 — because my motto has always been “you have to spend money to make money.” And I truly believe that. Every upgrade, every piece of equipment, every backdrop, every prop, every class/tutorial, and every little investment has helped me grow.
Looking back at the photos I was taking 4½ years ago compared to what I’m creating now makes me SO proud. 🥹📸 I can genuinely see the growth, and I know I still have so much more to learn and improve.
Most importantly, I have the BEST clients. ❤️ The families who come back year after year, the seniors who trust me with such an important milestone, the little ones who make me laugh during sessions, and everyone who has ever recommended me to a friend or shared my work — thank you.
You have no idea how much your support means to me.
This business has become so much more than just taking pictures. It’s something I’ve poured my time, money, creativity, energy and heart into, and I honestly wouldn’t trade it for anything.
So here’s to 4½ years of learning, growing, investing, creating, and chasing this crazy little dream. 🥂📸
