🍭✨ Incredible candy-themed centerpieces, sweet treats on every table, and a dance floor full of joy—Leni's Bat Mitzvah was such a fun celebration.

But the sweetest part was the love that surrounded her. I've known Leni since she was a day old, and watching her grow into such a kind, confident young woman fills me with so much pride and joy.

Leni, I held you when you were less than 24 hours old and have loved you ever since. Watching you grow into the incredible young woman you are today has been such a joy.

Mazel Tov, Mia. Your day was so beautifully and authentically you — from your hanbok-inspired dress during the service to your high tops on the dance floor. I loved watching you light up the room, especially during your dance moment.

The personal touches made the day even more meaningful, from the tallit cover sewn by your grandmother to the jewelry passed down from your great-grandmother. And the celebration was incredible — stunning decor by your mama’s company, amazing food, and so much joy all around.

Mazel tov again, Mia and family. I’m so honored I got to capture such a special day.

🌷 A bouquet for the mothers. 🌷

For the ones longing to become mothers.
For those navigating difficult mother/child relationships.
For those grieving mothers they miss every day.
For mothers carrying the loss of a child.
For those who never got the chance to truly know their mothers.
And for every mother figure, bonus mom, grandmother, aunt, teacher, friend, and nurturer in all forms.

Motherhood — and the emotions surrounding it — are layered, beautiful, complicated, joyful, heartbreaking, and deeply human. Today, I’m holding space for all of it.

And to the moms in front of my camera every year: thank you for letting me document the love, chaos, tenderness, and connection that tells your family’s story.

This Bar Mitzvah boy was surrounded by all of his favorite people — including his bonus sister cheering him on over Zoom! His hand-picked fit was completely on point: x collab shoes, socks, and all the cool confidence to match. And that signature smirky smile? Totally contagious. You can’t see it without smiling right back.

One of the most meaningful parts of the day was seeing him wear his great-grandpa’s tallit — over 100 years old and filled with so much family history and love.

Mazel Tov, Philip. It’s been such a joy being both your teacher and the one capturing your special day. 💙
