Last fall, Gracie thought we were taking extended family photos. Corey had other plans. 💍

Sometimes an engagement session is about more than two people. 🤍

When I photographed Skylar & her fiancé, their little one was already part of their story…so of course, she was part of the photographs too!

We spent the evening documenting all of it: the two of them, the three of them & all the love.

Later on, I had the privilege of photographing their wedding day.

And eventually, they came back to me again…for maternity photos as their family prepared to grow. 🥹

Looking back at old galleries like this is one of my favorite reminders that I’m never really photographing just an engagement, just a wedding, or just a maternity session.

I’m photographing chapters. 💝

The older I get, the more I realize the photographs that matter most aren't necessarily the ones where everyone is looking at the camera.

Of course, we'll get that one for the Christmas card. 😉

But I’m also watching for *this*.

The way your family leans into one another. The laughter. The little relationships happening inside the bigger one. The things that feel completely ordinary right now, but probably won't feel ordinary at all someday.

Those are the photographs I want you to have. 💜

What if your childhood crush actually became your forever person? 🤍

Their story began all the way back in elementary school — the kind of sweet, childhood puppy love no one expects to turn into the real thing.

But theirs did.

So when it was time for their engagement photos, we went back to where it all began. An empty school on a weekend. Old desks. Quiet classrooms. A bouquet on the floor. And 2 people who had somehow grown up & found themselves right back where their story started .

Years later, I still remember this session because it wasn’t just a pretty place to take pictures.

It was part of their story. 🥺
