Japanese actor and stuntman Hikaru Kurosaki passed away at the age of 64 on July 2, 2026. He was widely known for his work as a stunt performer and suit actor in Toei’s 1978 live-action Spider-Man television series, and for later starring as the hero in the iconic 1985 series Kyoju Tokuso Juspion.

Breaking news from the Daily Bugle! Reports are flooding in that Spider-Man has once again spun his web into the spotlight—this time through world of toy photography! Calling it art; I call it the greatest public relations campaign a masked vigilante has ever stumbled into! Don’t misunderstand me—the talent behind these cameras is extraordinary. These photographers build incredible scenes from scratch and breathe life into pieces of plastic with nothing more than creativity and determination. It’s the subject I’ve got a problem with! Imagine if all that talent were spent exposing the truth instead of polishing Spider-Man’s reputation. Mark my words, people: no matter how dramatic the pose or how spectacular the photograph, a web-slinger in plastic is still a menace in my book—and the Daily Bugle will be here to remind you of it!

That’s right—across the city, citizens are staging elaborate toy photographs of Spider-Man, to make him look noble, brave, and—dare I say it—trustworthy. Desk lamps are standing in for suns, cardboard becomes skyscrapers, and suddenly this masked vigilante is a plastic icon instead of a public threat. Don’t be fooled by the creativity or the craftsmanship, folks—this is narrative manipulation at its finest! Shrink him down, polish the image, and maybe people forget he still answers to no one. But not me. Whether he’s life-sized or six inches tall, Spider-Man is still a menace—and the Bugle will keep reporting the truth, one breaking story at a time!
