Hi friends! I’m so sorry for going quiet on here again. Photography is something I love doing. Posting to social media... is not.😅

I’m feeling a little guilty for not showcasing all the beautiful families I’ve had the honor of photographing over the past year. But to be completely honest and vulnerable - life has been a lot lately. We’re deep in the trenches of toddlerhood again, and most days it feels impossible to focus on my business when I’m just trying to find a moment to breathe.

I’m incredibly grateful to have the flexibility to step back and be present with my kids when they need me most. That said, with the busy photography season coming up in the fall, I will be limiting bookings to returning clients and friends & family. I plan to go full-time once my youngest is older, but for now, this is what feels right for our family.

Thank you so much to those who continue to support me - whether that’s through booking a session or engaging with my posts. I appreciate you all! 💕

I got to do a session back at one of my favorite places in the Valley. The Salt River never disappoints! Swipe to the end to see some toddler outtakes and what we found that made him completely forget about the meltdown. 😂🦞

Mixing candid and posed photos is just so perfect for families with little ones! I can’t even imagine trying to do an hour long session of only posed shots with a toddler. They just don’t operate that way. 😆

The number one concern I hear from families with young kids is that they don’t think their kids will cooperate. And yeah, they probably won’t for some of the session - but when we just relax and let them have fun, the chance of us being able to sneak in some posed photos is so much higher!

This family got some beautiful posed photos with lots of fun adventure shots in-between. You can’t go wrong with finding sticks and rocks to throw in the water - it’s always a hit!

I’ve been swamped with editing lately, but I’m so close to finishing my November galleries! I’m excited to have more time to post all the family sessions I’ve been working on behind the scenes. 😍

Want to know one of my secrets when photographing little ones? 👀

Let the kids be kids.

Yes, it’s that simple.

We spend a lot of money for professional photos, so of course we want them to be perfect. But life isn’t perfect and children do not yet have the ability to be still and “behave” for an hour photo session. Honestly, I’ve photographed some adults that can’t even do that. 😂🫢

So my advice is to simply let them be kids. Let them run around, climb on trees and rocks, play, and make fart jokes.

I promise we will get some great shots of them amidst all the chaos.

What a beautiful session to kick off a super busy month for me! This family's only wish for their session was to get a photo of them smiling at the camera with their senior pup. We got that and so much more! My goal is always to get the classic "Christmas Card Photo" AND all the love, snuggles, and giggles in-between.

🌵Phoenix & East Valley! 🌵I’ll be in the Valley next month for family, maternity, and newborn photography sessions on November 23rd & 24th!

My sunset times are already reserved, but I have availability for 2 sunrise and 1 in-home (perfect for those snuggly newborn sessions).

If you’re not a morning person, don’t be intimidated by the early session time - sunrise lighting is gorgeous and makes it well worth it! I actually prefer it over sunset lighting. 🤫 I’m not a morning person either, but something about watching the sun come up and the crisp morning air this time of year just gets me.

Session fee is $400, 50% due at booking.

Proof that you don’t need to spend weeks stressing about planning outfits for your family session! Yesterday I wanted to go location scouting to find some scenic photography spots nearby, but also wanted to get photos of my own family. So I put together outfits real quick, stopped at Target for toddler shoes, and off we went! My hair and makeup aren’t done up and I’m wearing an old maternity dress from when I was pregnant, but who cares! It all worked out. 😂 And I found a gorgeous location I can’t wait to do more sessions at.

Shout out to my husband for being my assistant so I could get photos of myself with my babies. It’s a rare occasion when that happens!

This was one of the last few sessions I shot before moving to Yuma and it was just so much fun! So many great shots - it was quite the task trying to narrow it down for a post. And it is such an honor when another photographer chooses you to document their family.
