Hannah & Jaren are getting married in her parent’s backyard, just like all of her sisters before her. It was only fitting to embody that for their engagement photos as well 🧡

Ian & Jaycie wanted their wedding to create lasting & meaningful memories for the people they love most, and to feel true to them. They chose to share one of their favorite places, South Carolina, with all of their closest people. The days leading up were spent soaking in quality time on the beach & around Charleston, celebrating, and letting the anticipation of getting married grow alongside everyone they love.

And as the cherry on top, they tied the knot under the oaks in the same place that the Notebook was filmed.

Destination weddings are by no means easy, but that’s the whole point. They take you out of your own world & invite you to slow down, be present, and create memories with your people that stretch far beyond the wedding day itself. It becomes a special space that everyone involved is lucky to be invited into.

I feel so lucky to have been chosen by Jaycie and Ian to document such a beautiful experience. It will live on in my head forever 🧡

Our wedding may not have been the most traditional but it uniquely represented us and was everything we could have ever wanted. Alex will forever be my favorite person to spend each day with, good or bad, and I am so lucky to grow & experience life along side him.

As we drift further from it, my memories of the small details are beginning to fade, and I am so grateful for our photos to always remember it by. One of the things we will always cherish most from our day is getting to spend it with Alex’s dad, who was one of the first there and last to leave. I can’t believe this was all a year ago🧡

So much of photography is sharing and cherishing the experience of living life with others. If you are out of alignment with the heart of the art form, your work will always reflect that. As a photographer your eye will be drawn to what matters most to you personally, and as that changes in different seasons, so does your work. This year has pushed, challenged and made me grow in so many ways and I couldn’t be more grateful.

Thank you for supporting me and my work for another year, I pinch myself everyday that this is what I get to do 🧡
