🎂✨ One year. One very happy little guy. 💚

There’s something so much fun about first birthday portraits — especially when you get to create a whole little world around their personality.

The balloons, the details, the outfit, the little props… and of course, that sweet smile that makes it all worth it. 🥰

First birthdays only happen once, but these little portraits give you something to look back on long after the balloons are gone.

The seasons change, but they keep growing. ❤️

It feels like just yesterday we were all talking about summer plans, and now the kids are back in school and we're somehow already looking toward fall.

And while the seasons change, so do our kids.

They get taller.
Their personalities change.
Their interests change.
Their little faces change.

That's why I love family portraits that aren't tied to a particular holiday or milestone. Sometimes you don't need a special reason to document who your family is right now.

Because six months from now, they'll already be a little different.

And honestly? That's worth remembering. 📸❤️

☀️ Apparently I still have some summer to share…

I'm back! ❤️

After a little time away, I'm finally settled back into the studio — and while going through some of my recent sessions, I realized there are still a few beautiful families I never got around to sharing!

So before we completely say goodbye to summer, here's a little more sunshine from this beach session with Mom and her three girls. 🌊☀️

There's something I love about photographing families at the beach. It's not just about getting everyone to look at the camera. It's the connection, the little moments, and capturing the different relationships within a family.

And sometimes… getting everyone to cooperate for one more picture is a victory in itself. 😂❤️

Summer may be winding down, but I still have a little more summer to share before we officially move into fall portrait season. 🍂📸

☀️ And just like that… summer is almost a wrap!

I can't believe we're already heading into the last stretch of August. This summer has brought so many beautiful families, little milestones, big smiles, and lots of memories in front of my camera. ❤️

I can't let summer come to an end without sharing a few more from this fun beach day! ❤️

Now it's time for a little reset before we jump into a new school year and a whole new season at the studio.

I'm looking forward to what's ahead — from back-to-school portraits and family sessions to all those beautiful fall colors that will be here before we know it. 🍂📸

🍂 Something FALL is coming to Picture Perfect Studios… 🍂

I know we're still squeezing every last bit of summer out of August, but I have to admit… I'm already thinking about fall! 😍

These images are from one of my favorite fall sessions from last year, and they're making me VERY ready for those beautiful autumn colors, cozy sweaters, and family time in front of the camera.

And yes… Fall Minis are coming back this October! 🍁

Before They Grow Again ❤️

One school year ends, another one begins… and somehow they look just a little bit different every time.

The missing teeth.
The favorite outfit.
The way they smile.
The little personality quirks you swear you'll never forget.

These are the things that make a portrait more than just a picture. It's a little snapshot of who they are right now.

Because before you know it, the kindergartener isn't so little anymore, the baby-faced first grader has changed, and you're wondering where the time went. 🥹

You don't need a birthday or a special occasion to update their portraits. Sometimes, “just because they're this age” is reason enough. ❤️

If your kids are heading back to school soon, September is a great time to capture them before the school year gets too busy.

Back-to-school pictures don't have to mean the traditional school picture! ❤️

A new school year is such a fun little milestone, especially when they're starting kindergarten, heading into a new school, or just growing into another year.

These aren't just pictures of them in a new outfit. They're a little snapshot of who they are right now — what they look like, what they're into, how little they still are, and all those little details you swear you'll remember forever.

You can do a simple portrait, bring their backpack or favorite school supplies, add a little cap and gown for kindergarten, or even include siblings for a picture together.

Because before you know it, that little kindergartener is suddenly a middle schooler. 🥹

How is it already the middle of August?! 😩

Summer really does fly by, and before we know it, we're trading beach days and late nights for school buses, homework and after-school activities.

I'm getting ready to take a little vacation of my own before the school year kicks off, but before I do, I have a few things to share with you about what's coming up at the studio! ❤️
