Sometimes curiosity leads you exactly where you need to be.

Homesick for Miami during grad school in 2018, I went looking for a piece of home and found it a town over at COPA, a soil-to-table Cuban restaurant in Durham run by Chef Roberto and Elizabeth.

The assignment was “labor.” But what I documented was artistry. Roberto, part scientist, part farmer, part chef, turning fresh ingredients into food that tasted like home. Elizabeth building a bar program with the same devotion, both of them pouring care into their staff.

As an artist, there’s nothing like watching another artist in their craft, the precision, the intention, the love in every plate.

COPA closed in 2024, a quiet casualty of the pandemic. But I still wear the apron they gifted me, and I’m grateful I was there to document this beautiful chapter of Cuban cuisine in North Carolina.

I hadn’t realized how colorful my trip to the Caribbean had been until I started sequencing this set of photos.

Last December, I cruised around the Caribbean aboard Silversea’s Silver Ray, visiting San Juan, St. John, St. Kitts, St. Barths, Guadeloupe, and Tortola. Each island had something different to offer, whether that was beautiful scenery, great food, or just a good spot to relax.

Went in with one camera (Leica Camera USA Q3) and no real content plan, and came out with some images I’m genuinely proud of. A photographer once told me the easiest way to make good photos is to just put yourself in front of interesting things.

With busy schedules, mini staycations have become our go-to reset.

Now that we’ve got our boy with us, it’s all about finding dog-friendly spots, and Enzo has been living his best life.

Daytona gets a 10/10 from us for being so dog-friendly. Shoutout to Hard Rock Daytona and Joe’s Crab Shack . Everyone was super friendly and welcoming to little Enzo.

Though I always travel with my camera, these staycations have also taught me to reduce the frictions of capturing content. I’ve been really enjoying using the Lux app for photos, and even built a mini kit for iPhone video that I’ll have to test on the next adventure.

Kicking off 2026 with a huge smile! 😁🎥 We just wrapped our first content shoot of the year at CES in Las Vegas, where we filmed and edited over 20 interviews with incredible industry leaders. Grateful to be a part of such a dedicated team, and looking forward to an inspiring year ahead. 📸:

Lights, Sounds, and Spirits ⬅️: A few months ago, Grand Marnier and Complex teamed up for a project that blended music, cocktails, and golden light, and I had the chance to photograph it all. Andre Power set the mood with soulful sounds, while Siobhan Bell brought high-energy beats.

I usually keep a star filter tucked away in my bag, almost forgotten. I’d only ever used it once before, but this time felt right to try something different. ✨📸

Swipe ⬅️: 3 minutes, 3 portraits with Richard Attias for . It’s always exciting to see your images printed large inside a magazine. This assignment was all about preparation, and being ready to maximize the little time we are often given with the people we photograph (though I will say 3 minutes is now my new personal best 😅)

A few years ago, I had the exciting opportunity to photograph the World Jai-Alai League at the Magic City Fronton for an ESPN story. This sport, deeply intertwined with Miami's cultural fabric, experienced a significant resurgence in 2018 with fresh branding and a new playing format, making it a vibrant part of Miami's history once again. Covering this in 2021 was special, as it was my first ESPN assignment and a local story with national impact.

Recently, I experienced a full-circle moment by returning to Magic City Fronton, but this time as a Producer for ReachTV. Crafting a show segment on Jai Alai allowed me to continue telling this captivating story through a different medium, leveraging the skills and experiences I've gained over the years. It's inspiring to see how storytelling evolves and how our careers can bring us back to our roots in new and exciting ways.

It had been five years(!) since I had posted on my blog. It used to be where I showed my latest work, wrote about various assignments and how I had completed them, and shared updates...

Well, after a five-year hiatus, I'm back! Over the past several years, I have produced a lot of work that I am excited to finally share and discuss. My first blog post back features some life updates and photo work I did during last year's NBA playoffs. I'll also be sharing articles, videos, and podcasts that inspire me.
