How Bad Do You Want It? A Lesson Few Are Ready For

This short story is a reminder that true learning doesn’t begin with talent or words — it begins with sincere desire.
Not everyone wants it. Few are ready for it.

This lesson comes from a traditional martial arts parable about persistence, humility, and commitment — values we carry into our training today.

A splash of color and a twist of nostalgia! This vibrant Wynwood mural fragment brings a playful, almost rabbit-like take on a familiar character. Street art always has a way of making us see things in a new light—what do you see?

🔥 Sibat Sayaw – The Art of the Staff in Filipino Martial Arts 🔥

Check out this amazing demonstration of Sibat Sayaw (staff dance), a traditional Filipino martial arts staff form, performed by Chad Bailey! The precision, flow, and power of this form truly showcase the depth of our warrior heritage.

As we prepare for our upcoming Progressive Arnis seminar in Arcadia, FL, on February 7-9, we’ve been training hard to refine our techniques and deepen our understanding of the staff and other weapons. This event will be an incredible opportunity to train, connect, and grow within our martial arts community!

👊 Who’s joining us this weekend?
💬 What’s your experience with training the staff (sibat)?
🔥 If you’ve attended a seminar before, what was your biggest takeaway?

📍 Location: Arcadia, FL
📆 Dates: February 7-9

Let’s keep the Filipino martial arts spirit alive! Tag your training partners and share this post to spread the word!

Final staff form! Sibat Sayaw is a grouping of staff concepts that can be linked together in many different patterns or free form.

Stumbled upon this gem of a setup while exploring a hidden izakaya. The rustic wall, the classic ‘Wanted’ poster of Franky, and the vibrant sake bottles create a vibe that’s straight out of an anime. It’s always cool how art can pop up in unexpected places. Makes me think: if Franky were here, would he toast with a bottle? 🍶✨

What’s the most unexpected place you’ve found art? Let me know below! 🎨🔥 . .
