Our mission trip to Guatemala was truly a blessing for everyone who took the time to be part of it. We go into these countries thinking we’ll find people who are poor and struggling. The truth is, we find out we’re the ones who are poor and struggling. Here in the States we have every opportunity to live a comfortable life, but sometimes we forget that the simple things bring true happiness. Spending time with these kids always reminds me of that.
I thank God for people like theuriartefoundation, giving these kids hope that anything is possible when we trust in Jesus and work toward the mission. I’m blessed that my company Creative Currency gets to capture these moments and inspire others to join in.
Keep supporting those who are out there doing this work 24/7 — that’s the mission.

This place was beautiful, but it broke me physically, mentally, spiritually. I wanted to quit before I reached the top. There was no other option. I cried. I got angry at myself, because it showed me exactly where I was.

I reached the top. It was freezing and pitch dark, but we could see all the stars and the eruptions up close, lava coming out what an experience. Then I had to face it again going back down, then up again. Coming down I fell and did a complete front flip. My instant thought was that’s it, I’m done. But I believe God protected me in that moment I could’ve hit my head on a rock or gone off the cliff.

By the end my legs and body gave out. All I could capture were these images. We were there to complete a mission with the kids. That was the main objective. In life we only show the beautiful parts. The struggle we leave out. Just like this video.

Stood at the edge of an active volcano yesterday. Something I’ve dreamed about, finally real. To get there we had to descend into the saddle between the two mountains and climb back up — 6.4 to 10 kilometers round-trip, 600 to 730 meters of pure elevation gain on legs that already had nothing left. This hike broke me down physically and spiritually. Alex U invited me on this with his family, man did he push me lol. More on that in the days to come.

I only understood forgiveness because my mom was able to show me Love, Grace and forgiveness at the same time, we sometimes have to experience it first hand and that is why we must practice forgiving others.

There are moments where we put ourselves above others and some even go as far to think they are God! A verse that aways humbles me is Psalms 103: 14 For he knows we are but dust 15 and that our days are few and brief, like grass, like flowers, 16 blown by the wind and gone forever..
